Pa. race may be a tale of two cities

PITTSBURGH - Steelers or Eagles? Pro-football loyalties are not the only differences that divide Pennsylvania's two big cities.
In Democratic politics, the contrasts between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are so sharp that they might decide the outcome of the state's presidential primary April 22.

The Pittsburgh area, according to polls and politicos-in-the-know, is Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton territory.

The Philadelphia area is the Keystone State's biggest stronghold for Sen. Barack Obama.

The differences that 300 miles can make stem mainly from one thing: demographics.

This is quite an interesting article and worth the read. I lived in Pgh for 44 years, and at least the stats they give are right.

Philadelphia has 5 times the population of Pittsburgh! :P The demographics are somewhat irrelevant when the sheer population of each is looked at. In fact the AA population alone in Philly is twice the population of the whole city of Pittsburgh. But of course there is always that link between the 2 metropolises in terms of relating to each other when looking at the issues of urban vs the rural parts of the state. :)

2. I hope Obama can win Pittsburgh. It is a great goal to have!
Granted it is a long shot. However, When people see Obama and hear what he has to say and experience the energy of the movement. They think about who they want to support and that is the chance Obama has to be considered!

GOBAMA!!
