23. Yes! One of my favorites, too. :) And this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLMotU8Tu9E

Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters

And now I know
Spanish harlem are not just pretty words to say
I thought I knew
But now I know that rose trees never grow in new york city

Until youve seen this trash can dream come true
You stand at the edge while people run you through
And I thank the lord theres people out there like you
I thank the lord theres people out there like you

While mona lisas and mad hatters
Sons of bankers, sons of lawyers
Turn around and say good morning to the night
For unless they see the sky
But they cant and that is why
They know not if its dark outside or light

This broadways got
Its got a lot of songs to sing
If I knew the tunes I might join in
Ill go my way alone
Grow my own, my own seeds shall be sown in new york city

Subways no way for a good man to go down
Rich man can ride and the hobo he can drown
And I thank the lord for the people I have found
I thank the lord for the people I have found

BTW, this proves once and for all that Sir Elton is quite, quite, gay.

3. Have to disagree
That's not a gay video, it's just an 80's video.

14. Well, it's both.
Yes, it definitely is an 80's video, no doubt. But I've always thought it was very gay in content. Of course, I'm not complaining on that score...

9. I simply love the muppets!
Actually knew a guy here in Ohio, who named his rooster Benny. And the chickens were "the Jets." I can't hear this song without thinking of that...

and the chicken on The Muppets.... that so loved E.J.

And that fabulous white feather suit....

Elton and Rod:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrHePXk89d0

The first time I heard Rod say: "Sing it to me E.J." I almost fell on the floor laughing!Except I was driving.... and that would have been dangerous.

which was a hit when I was growing up.

Other than that, I'm not really a big fan, though.

21. Someone Saved My Life Tonight
Captain Fantastic and the Browndirt Cowboy, the whole album, was the most important piece of music in my youth. Elton and Bernie gave me a map to great places, they were the piper that called the tune that changed my life forevermore. To me they are both heros.
So I'm an unabashed fan, the first live band I ever heard was the Elton John Band at the Troubadour Club on Santa Monica Bl in 1975.

Just before the flood,
Painting worried faces with a smile.

28. I play piano and there are a lot of great tunes...
I like playing the ones less traveled:

Amoreena
Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters
Harmony
Someone Saved My Life Tonight
Have Mercy On The Criminal
Levon
Burn Down The Mission
Rocket Man
I've Seen That Movie Too

I lost interest in most of his recent stuff for some reason...
