Clinton's Indiana campaign building goes up in flames.
I guess they just moved in there a few days ago. There is no suspicious activity according to authorities.

2. Everybody was safe, but you know when a business is on hard times and theres a fire......
Starts to raise some flags on insurance adjusters statistics radar, not one but two. Anomalies don't usually travel in packs.

3. Does the Clinton Campaign OWN the building?
If not, then you're just speculating out your ass.

11. No
You're obviously making a back-handed accusation that the Clinton campaign set fire to the building.

Normal people would be ashamed of themselves for such behavior, but not Obama fans.

12. "accusation that the Clinton campaign set fire to the building"
Your words.

I never said any such thing.

I said 4 simple facts, none of which said that.

The rest is all your creation.

14. Yes
that's why I said it was a backhanded accusation.

But it was an accusation nonetheless.

17. Lets see you make something up in your head that I didn't even say or think of.....
You say it.

And then say it was me saying it "backhanded"

Talk about displacement, you should really get that looked at.

25. What are you talking about
"Everybody was safe, but you know when a business is on hard times and theres a fire......

Starts to raise some flags on insurance adjusters statistics radar, not one but two. Anomalies don't usually travel in packs."

I do not see one fucking fact period in that whole statement. prove to me that when businesses are on hard times they burn down their property. You are just fanning flames as some have pointed out already.

15. It was likely rented
Edited on Fri Apr-11-08 09:49 AM by IAmJacksSmirkingReve
There are a lot of vacant storefronts along 3rd Street and Wabash Avenue in Terre Haute. Obama's campaign is renting one about a half mile away.

18. Which makes it all the more likely it was a simple accident -
empty stores are not well maintained. Rodents move in when people move out, start chewing on the wiring. Somebody moves in, the previously unused frayed wiring heats up and WHOOSH.

I understand there were a couple staffers there, even that late, so they'd be running lights, computers, heaters.

Just glad they got out OK.

21. That's the most likely scenario
I'm not sure how old the building they were in was, but downtown features a lot of buildings put up before there were niceties like "electrical codes" and the like.

9. I saw this and first thing in my mind was Liar Liar Pants on Fire ....
TERRE HAUTE, Indiana - Fire destroyed a campaign office of presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton in western Indiana early Friday.

Two people were inside when the fire broke out but escaped without injuries, said Terre Haute Fire Department spokesman John Gardner.

Gardner said nothing so far had indicated the fire was arson.

"But we're doing a full investigation on it like any other commercial structure fire," he said.

Clinton's campaign had no immediate comment.

A volunteer firefighter driving past the building in a commercial district south of the city's downtown spotted flames on the roof shortly after midnight and warned those inside, Gardner said.

The roof of the one-story building partially collapsed and a part of the front wall collapsed on a parked car, which then caught on fire. The adjoining office of a staffing services agency had water and smoke damage, but a fire wall held back the flames, Gardner said.

Fire in Clinton Campaign Headquarters Destroys Tax Returns
Arson Suspected, Officials Say

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (BorowitzReport) — A blazing fire that ravaged Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign headquarters In Terre Haute, Indiana, destroyed more than just the building, campaign officials revealed today.

A spokesman for the Clinton campaign said that the 2007 tax returns of Mrs. Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, went up in flames along with everything else.

In fact, according to a spokesman for the Terre Haute Fire Department, the tax returns may have been ignited first, setting off the conflagration that burned the building to the ground.

“Based on our initial investigation, it looks like gasoline was poured all over the tax returns and then set ablaze,” said THFD spokesman Tracy Klujian. “Whoever did this has experience in destroying records.”

While the Terre Haute police have yet to name any suspects in the inferno, an eyewitness to the fire said he saw a “person in a yellow pantsuit with black trimming” fleeing the building moments after the campaign headquarters caught on fire.

At a press conference in Pittsburgh, Mrs. Clinton said that the incineration of her tax records was “a great personal loss,” adding, “I was so looking forward to sharing them with the American people.”

Mrs. Clinton cut her press conference short after a protracted coughing fit, complaining of smoke inhalation.

26. Except, ...
They released their tax returns.

Every Bill & Hillary Clinton tax return since 93 is available for you to peruse...

But the satirical innuendo is cute AND helpful!
