I shows a lot of guts to get out on the streets and work for what you believe in. I have nothing but pride in these people. Thanks for standing up and speaking out for progressive values.

In addition, slamming people who are progressives, despite differing views, is counter-productive.

:yourock:

BTW...Obama guy

1. Wow, this is a great post. Thank you!
Most of us would be out in the streets if the MSM was overtly racist, like they are sexist. At least I would be.

7. I'm glad
I don't think we should ever condone racism or sexism, and I think sometimes we lose sight of it because we get caught up in our candidates. I found myself saying something that some might interpret as sexist once (even though I am a woman), but then I realized how mad my comment would have made me if I heard someone else say it and if I wasn't such a rabid Obama supporter. I guess it's human nature to see things differently once you start rooting for a candidate.

9. A lot of us have tunnel vision....
We've stopped looking at this race in the broader context of the progressive movement to the oppositions benefit.

We need to realize that we'll need to face these people again after the election is over.

10. New Orleans today: Tenth Anniv. of Battle to End Violence Against Women
I have nothing but contempt for the NBC protestors, personally.

Thousands will gather in New Orleans without a peep from the Media.

Why the f**k are they NOT protesting THAT?

this isn't a flame, it's just the facts.

13. Agreed... taking your message to the street is to be admired
I don't agree with the "message" that Hillary Clinton is being swiftboated or that supporters of Obama are misogynists, but it takes organization and timing to get people out in the street.

17. Completely agree with your sentiment...
Hasn't every Obamaholic, like me, discussed how ridiculous the press has been behaving since the campaign season started?

In principle, I would gladly attend a demonstration against a media that doesn't serve the public interest. HOWEVER, while select TV "analysts" have shown derision of, and discomfort with, Hillary's gender, that's not where my beef is.
I have a problem with the general promotion of gossipmongerers like Anderson Cooper.

I don't care to protest against media bias.
I want a protest against lazy, tabloid-style news coverage!

Hate me.

They weren't progressives. They had a poll of who would you vote for Bush or Obama and Bush won 14-1.

The Pot and Pan Banging brigade can go fuck themselves.

23. Agreed. They are not progressives; the love for Fox News proves that.
They may support Hillary now, but they are going to run, not walk, to back the GOP when Obama gets the nomination.

They are tools of the right wing who are so bitter (yes, bitter) that they think Sean Hannity is a voice for them.

They are the agents of their own destruction.
