Stick around a little longer... maybe a few weeks isn't enough...

How long have you been a Democrat?

4. Yes, but I don't spend a lot of time in THIS forum anymore. I check
in several times a day, but I prefer rational thinking and somewhat reasonable conversation. That's surely been overtaken by a lot of crazies in the last several months, and I just can't be bothered.

8. Yawp
They'll have to pry my membership card out of my cold, dead, hands.

I'll vote for the nominee. But watching the behavior during primary season will determine if I feel like campaigning much if the nom happens to be Hillary.

10. If people who've 'fallen in love' (as they say) with one neo-liberal candidate or another...
...can still be called Democrats, then yes.

Otherwise, I don't know.

I need a program. I'm having trouble telling one player from another without a program.

is because every time I turn around I see people attacking Democrats and running them down and using right wing sources and I just have to wonder how many of the people posting here truly are Democrats. Again, just asking.

give me healthcare and send me to Iran, because Obama said I was bitter and that sealed the deal for me.

30. Present
registered Democrat the day I turned 18 and have voted that way in every election federal state and local since. one lone exception, i voted green for matt gonzales against gavin newsome for SF mayor in 2004. don't regret it for an instant; besides Newsome's general corporate Shrill fucktardery, he's on my permanent shit list after the B.S. he pulled in silencing the entire city (and nation since SF was the only stop) both pro and con last week by shiftily moving the torch route. asshole. still, though a good guy, gonzales isn't making me too happy by running with nader right now....

what's the insinuation of this OP anyway?

Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 04:56 AM by Rob Gregory Browne
I'm just surprised at how much right wing vitriol seems to be flying around this place and it's hard to tell if we're all progressives or if some of us are simply trolls looking to make trouble. I'm not sure I understand why people who basically share a common cause can't discuss the primaries with at least a modest amount of dignity. It seems that nearly every thread turns into a pissing contest over who has the most disgusting candidate and I think that's a shame.

The simple truth is that if we let this place devolve into some kind of misanthropic fuck you fest, the other side has won.
