One of the lesser-known 'gates' - only lasted a few hours here on DU.

9. An Obama campaign worker ... |
|
... purchased a gift for a family member at Tiffany's ($215), and charged it on a campaign credit-card.
Realizing the mistake of having used his campaign card rather than his personal card, he immediately reimbursed the campaign office the $215.
There were several Ah-HA! Gotcha! threads that afternoon here on DU, by posters who insisted this was HUGH & SERIES and would bring the Obama campaign to its knees.
After it being pointed out, over and over, that the money had been reimbursed within a matter of hours, and was only an amount of $215, the story quickly lost the 'legs' it never really had in the first place.
