Once again Obama proves he is a true Democrat and Hillary proves she is not |
|
Thank you Hillary for making the distinction even more clear. Don't talk to me like I'm a fucking idiot. Don't talk to me like I'm a 6-year-old. Thats Bush's specialty.
People ARE bitter because of their economic situation. This DOES lead to frustration and antipathy to people who aren't like them. It DOES lead to anti-immigrant sentiment. This is a direct result of people's BITTERNESS.
Once again, Obama is right on the money and Hillary talks like a Republican.

3. Now, now. Hillary does NOT support "trickle down" economics. |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-11-08 07:27 PM by TahitiNut
"Trickle ON" economics maybe, but certainly not "trickle down." :silly:
After all, she knows that folks are unemployed because they're unskilled and uneducated. That's why the keystone of her "jobs program" is training and educamation. She knows an MBA is required before a worker can say "do you want fries with that?"

I refuse to be loyal to her just because she is a Democrat.
Yes I will vote for the Democrat. But if it is her (which I highly doubt) I will be voting with my fingers firmly held upon my nose.

I think that's where the backlash will stem from. How many times here, on this board, have I heard Hillary and women her age referred to as bitter and aging? Is that going to endear anyone to the messenger?
People react to labels and are insulted by them, and disavow them. IMO, they were not nice comments.

14. Hillary (& her MSM buds) are being played for fools on this issue |
|
The economic conditions Obama was talking about hit at the heart of the free trade programs Bill pushed for in the 90's.
Bill's programs were the continuation of the Reagan free trade policies taken to their conclusion (a conclusion the GOP themselves never dared to hope for), and Obama's comments illustrate the damage to rural communities that resulted from them.
Unfortunately for the Clinton worshippers, the longer they try to make Obama's comments an issue the longer they are illustrating the treasonous trade policies Bill was responsible for.
And the greater the damage to the Clintons themselves.

21. Second time Obama's been in trouble for telling the truth |
|
Much of what Rev. Wright said is right on target. What Obama said today about the way people who have been disenfranchised--out of work, lost their homes, no health insurance--is true. He is a different kind of politician. He doesn't say what the focus groups tell him he should say. He speaks the truth. And his opponents try to pillory him for it.
