OBAMA's excuse for losing in PA is
bigoted gun toting religious zealots.

That's how I take it.

The answer he gave was in response to a question about how he was going to get votes in PA.

Well I'm not sure his answer is the way to win them over, but it might push them away.

42. LOL Twilight zone

I just saw the video and Obama knocked it out of the ballpark!

The people on the video were predominately White.

Look at their faces and see there responses.

They were on their feet in support of his message.

In fact, he doesn't have to win ANY of the remaining contests. All he has to do is prevent Hillary from getting more than 55% of the vote, which will make it impossible for her to appeal to the superdelegates. Can he do it? Yes, he can.

28. Obama probably won't win PA
But he knows that - after all not that many weeks ago HRC had a lead in the 20's. Both campaigns wrestle with setting expectations but the cold hard truth of the matter is he doesn't HAVE to win PA. HRC not only needs to win PA - she needs to win by double digits. Then she needs to win the rest of the primaries by a like amount - and that is not going to happen.

Senator Obama is none of the things you say he is...he is honest, forthright, faces criticism head-on, and his comeback speech knocked Hillary and McSame to the floor! Of all the candidates, he is the one "in touch," he is not an elitist - he did not grown-up in the wealthy households like Hillary and McSame but was raised by a single mother and his grandparents, and patronizing? Give me a break! Senator Obama is the MAN! :bounce:

Look Obama stuck his foot in his mouth. Came across as a posing patronising political rookie totally out of touch.

He may be none of those things but that is how he came across to some and is CERTAINLY how some will try to paint him.

He may be the MAN (what does that actually mean?) As a speech professor can you explain what that means and why I should be impressed by that

He misstepped. Not the end of the world. He is still a saint and a savior and etc.

And - I doubt the ones he has hurt the most would even bother to listen to him again.

It's one thing for his followers to fall on their knees with every word he utters - - but in the real word the full impact of Obama's hateful words has not been reached. Watch. Obama supporters might just want to skip Sunday morning.

39. Wow. You got all that from this?

But -- so the questions you're most likely to get about me, 'Well, what is this guy going to do for me? What's the concrete thing?' What they wanna hear is -- so, we'll give you talking points about what we're proposing -- close tax loopholes, roll back, you know, the tax cuts for the top 1 percent. Obama's gonna give tax breaks to middle-class folks and we're gonna provide health care for every American. So we'll go down a series of talking points.

But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there's not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

Um, now these are in some communities, you know. I think what you'll find is, is that people of every background -- there are gonna be a mix of people, you can go in the toughest neighborhoods, you know working-class lunch-pail folks, you'll find Obama enthusiasts. And you can go into places where you think I'd be very strong and people will just be skeptical. The important thing is that you show up and you're doing what you're doing.

...it is monstrous....I was apalling...despicable....such a mouth full of shit....There is 12% undecided in PA and this just made their decision not to vote for Obama. They maybe bitter but to call them religious clinging and anit-immigration....read into those words...he just told those ppl who lost their jobs to over seas that they wont get their jobs back because he supports immigration..illegal immigration I am certain was implied...gun toting....that is an anti-gun statement for sure....He will not win PA for sure with these comments...and if you Obama supporters say it was taken out of context. BULLSHIT! Those are his words. He is an elitist like some have said...Is it huge? Yes he let his big mouth get the better of him. He wont be the media's golden boy after this.
