Hillary & McCain Better Think Twice About Trying To Sink Obama With This.......
Edited on Sat Apr-12-08 08:31 AM by global1
when the people listen to what he is saying and understand that he said it cause he's on their side - Hillary and McCain will have to backpedal.

The majority of American people - be they in rural Pennsylvania or San Francisco - are "mad as hell and aren't gonna take it anymore". Barack hit the nail on the head. He is telling it like it is and 'the same old Washington insiders' are the ones that are kidding themselves that its better than what it is.

These 'same old Washington insiders' don't want to acknowledge that this country is in the crapper. If they did then they've have to acknowledge that they weren't doing their job or that they did a bad job - and that reality is a hard nut for the Hillary's and the McCain's of the world to swallow - when their corporate benefactors tell them different.

Remember when we first heard those words - "I'm as mad as hell and ain't gonna take it anymore"? Remember how they resonated with the American people? Remember now why that movie has become a classic? Well how old is that movie and look where we are now in comparison to the time we heard those words the first time. We are in worse shape and people are in despair (utter loss of hope). Obama is the only 'ray of hope' that people have that we might climb out of this mess we're in.

Yes - he hit the nail on the head - we're bitter.

And the only way out of our bitterness is someone like a Barack. He can provide us that 'ray of hope'. He understands us. He says if we elect him president he is going to 'change' what we've come to have to accept by way of our current Washington leaders.

Hillary and McCain and their types are afraid now. Their wonderful world will be turned upside down now and they don't like it. That's why they are lashing out a Barack now. That's why they are trying to prevent him from trying to save us.

Remember when we watched a movie like - "Dave" - the heartwarming story of a guy that is hopeful and full of idealism. Dave was recruited to run the country in the same old way. When he realized what was expected of him he became contrary to what his insider chief of staff wanted him to do. He set out to make the country a better place against the corrupt system. Remember how we felt in the theater as we cheered Dave on? How 'we wished that we could get someone like him into the White House?

Well here we are people - finally with a guy like Barack Obama - we have a 'Dave-like' person that is trying to rally around the little guy. And lo and behold - when he speaks truth to reality or truth to power - the Washington insiders and the corporate MSM that don't want their 'applecart' upset - try to quash him.

Yes - I think Hillary and McCain will rue the day when they tried to make this into a big issue - because - this one will make the American public see who they really are and that they are not 'our friends' - but part of an establishment that will throw us a few crumbs and say the things people like to hear - but in reality - make matters worse for us.

I met with an old high school friend the other night. He has two kids - the oldest being 29y/o. They don't know of another president other than a Bush or a Clinton. That's sad. And you know their futures are worse now given the 'hole' W has put them and us in.

We're at a crossroads here people. We're on the corner of "more of the same" and "change". What's it going to be? Do you want to continue being bitter or do you want some hope?

Obama was spot on with how he has characterized the American person these days. And when people really, really listen to his characterization and look into themselves - they will understand what he was saying and agree. They will not believe the disingenuous responses and remarks of the likes of a Hillary or McCain.

2. He was talking about why people won't vote for him in small towns in the midwest
He was calling them bitter, gun toting, religious freaks who don't like people who are different.

And those are the reasons he is having a hard time in the Mid West.

You want context, well there's your context. I suggest you read what question he says he was replying to.

3. He was saying they VOTE on issues like guns and gays...
and concentrate on their faith and family becaus they have given up on VOTING based on economics. He did not say they take up guns or any of the other rubbish. This is all so desperate and sad and Bush/Rove like. People are not buying this kind of political gamesmanship. Hillary Clinton's campaign is completely tone deaf. "Barack is outspending us"... oh really? Why is that? Where is the money coming from? From people like me. Elitist? Right out of the GOP playbook. TAX RETURNS tell the real story. Do we want another politician treating us like we are idiots? The sad thing is maybe some of us really are.

5. "Hillary and McCain"--what a tag team they make!
Just like in pro rassling they jump into the ring at the same time to double team Obama. If you read their attack words against Obama without knowing who said what, could you tell if it was Clinton or McCain?
