Wow! Can I share an "I can't believe a rightwinger would vote for this Democrat" story?

My sister and brother-in-law have been staunch Republicans for a long time -- fundamentalist Christians, in fact. Last election, she said they couldn't even discuss politics without fighting. She voted for Kerry!

She referred to Obama in an email yesterday in a positive way, and I wrote back to ask her if that was an endorsement. Yes, she said (claiming she has an "Elderly Obama Girl" video on youtube), and what's truly amazing, even her husband might vote for him if he gets the nom. Wow! She said he was very impressed by his speech on race.

I know it's just another anecdote, but I am amazed.

I talked to a lady the other day in Indiana who said she was a republican and voted for Bush both times but this year she was going to vote for Hillary. The point is there seems to be quite a few republican cross-overs this year. :)

7. Good to hear! I just had to block

an old 'friend' again; she sent me a long diatribe on how great * is. I couldn't believe her opinion hadn't changed. I decided I no longer wanted anything to do with her. I'm glad there are rethugs out there that are acknowledging reality.
