McCain is worth approx $36 million, Clinton is worth approx $30 million
This is according to OpenSecrets : http://www.opensecrets.org/pfds/overview.php?type=W&year=2006&filter=S

According to them, Obama is worth between $456,012 and $1,142,000 - which averages out to approx. $800,000.

So $36 and $30 million versus $800K.

Who again is out of touch with the middle class?

2. Believe me or not in the next 10 to 20 years
Obama will be worth millions of dollars as well. You can deny it but it will happen. Wait until he writes more books and he starts traveling the world making speech's.

4. True, he's probably worth millions now...
His books have been selling a lot since 2006, when this data came out.

But Clinton has been worth millions for many more years and before that, she was insulated by the White House and the Arkansas governors mansion. McCain married his millions in the 1980's.

Obama has been a lot closer to the middle class for a lot longer than either Clinton or McCain. Their cries of elitism ring very hollow for me.

3. Wow, I had no idea. I don't necesarrily believe that excessive money...
...turns a person into an out-of-touch elitist but...for some people it can be very tempting.

Even when it's the 75-cent raise to $14.25 an hour. In my experience it has to do more with the person and not necessarily the dollar amounts listed.

Still, those are some pretty stark numbers.

6. Yes,
and both Clinton and McCain are worth far more than the amounts listed. In all fairness, Obama is probably worth another few hundred thousand now too.

7. Most likely - she is probably the main source of money
I don't think he got that much from Keating.
