My brother in law and sister in law are bornagains. She's always been pretty liberal, the religion stuff notwithstanding. He, on the other hand, is a one issue anti-choice voter. He's a very nice guy who would give you the shirt off his back ..... but hasn't voted Democratic since Moby Dick was a minnow.

Today, she told Sparkly that she's the senior citizen Obama girl and that her husband is "probably going to vote for him, too".

What turned him?

Obama's speech a few weeks ago about race.

(They live in Tejas, having moved there a few years ago after living the last 30 odd years in Michigan.)

I'll be gawdamnedgotohell ...... if he's voting Democratic, the GOPers ***really*** are out of gas.

3. I have a conservative friend in Florida, a two time Bush voter, who will vote Obama in November
If Hillary is the nominee, though, he votes McCain.

4. What's so great about this is,
it shows that you can feed people two different kinds of shit for years, but they'll still opt for steak when it appears!

7. The speech was a landmark.
Some things take years to realize how great they were. Some things happen instantly. The speech was both.
