New things that I'm surprised to find out are important to "liberals" every day
Protecting White people from Black "hate" preachers of liberation theology

Discouraging young people from being politically active

Supporting concealed carry laws

Making sure everyone knows that things in small town america are just hunky-dory.

Enshrining small town america as though life is one big cheesy Bush 1 family values ad.

Ignoring the fact that for over 25 years neither party has done much to help the poor.

Making sure to talk about hunting so that everyone knows how tough and macho you are.

please add to the list.

2. In the past 2 days I've encountered DUers who oppose unions and think WalMart is ducky.
Guess who their candidate is?

5. Having a poor soundbite and holding it for a week to deflect
from the multiple faux pas that the Clintons made this week (big dawg on Bosnia/hysterical non-answer given as response to serious question). It's called a distraction, it has worked, but for how long? I think it's fairly transparent myself.

Can't wait until there's some fact-checking going on of recent comments.

7. I hope you're being sarcastic.
The other choices are: you actually feel this way, or you think people should feel this way. I feel badly for you if it's the first; if it's the second, what are you doing here?

14. Yes, I am.
"The answer to `What's the matter with Kansas' is not that there's something the matter with Kansas," Garin argued. "There's something the matter with Democrats who

can't make a connection with voters whose economic interests are closely tied to what the Democratic Party stands for."

10. I have to admit that I don't mind concealed carry.
In recent years I have gone from a death penalty supporter to foe, but as far as carrying guns, it's just far to late to disarm the criminal element in our society, the least we can do is protect ourselves. There are limits, and I don't think most people should be allowed to own even semi-automatic assault rifles, but then again, the purpose of writing gun ownership into the Constitution was to allow for "well regulated militias", and a militia wouldn't be effective with nothing but pistols.

I am pretty far to the left as far as socialism goes, however. But there are a few issues where we can all disagree and debate each other and have open, honest communication and discourse.

13. Here's some things I didn't know...
The Iowa Caucus is "un-democratic", Democrats gleefully report the United States is 80-90% racist, Kids in kindergarten write essays, Proximity to the White House is the only qualification needed to be President, Words don't matter unless they are excerpted from a preacher's sermon. Members of the Democratic Party have no more integrity, or respect for human beings than Republicans. Flip sides of the same coin. Both sides talking out of their ass.
