Small town folk
For those of you who disagree with Barak's message... that out of frustration regarding not being heard by your government, jobs falling away, economy in the pits etc..etc.. the people tend to cling to their guns and their faith.

If not frustration, then what is it? Please state the true reasons so we can all know...

....and try reading the entire passage/statement and not just listen to the sounds bites being broadcast all over the cable news networks.. or coming out of HRC's mouth...

Let me get this out of the way out front: by every measure, people are free to consider me part of the "elite." My wife and I make substantial income, live in a nice house, buying an even nicer one, drive nice cars, hold good jobs with pensions and health care paid for, are overeducated, hold positions of respect and power within our communities, etc., etc. Hell, we even live near Washington, D.C., home field for the elite.

But you damn sure better never call me an "elitist."

Elitism, as defined by the American Heritage Dictionary, is the following:

The belief that certain persons or members of certain classes or groups deserve favored treatment by virtue of their perceived superiority, as in intellect, social status, or financial resources.

3. The first day of hunting season has been a school holiday in Pennsylvania for decades.
Long before Obama and through boom times and depression.

Religion has thrived much longer.

Obama doesn't get it.

I write this from a town of 1,000, although I was born and raised in Manhattan.

5. Who does get it?
If Obama doesn't get it, who does?. Is it Hillary or McCain who get it?

6. On this discrete issue, Clinton grasps it far better. McCain isn't even on the radar.

4. Frustration wasn't his message.
Senator Obama was inferring that ignorance was the root of the frustration.

You don't win too many elections by calling people a bunch of dummies.

The irony is too much to handle.

7. Inferrences
Ah, so now I see. You heard something not said and have formed your response upon it. I didn't read the word 'dummy' or 'ignorance' anywhere within his statement... and I read it all. Does Hillary more represent you?

8. The State of Pennsylvania, not me.
Being called ignorant is at the very core of the current controversy.

Better to face it now and address it rather than let it fester.

The problem is: there is no good way to get out of this one. Tactically, I do not see how you back out of this.

Quite the conundrum for the Obama campaign.

On a side note: I find it funny how I address what is happening in the campaign and how it it effecting the electorate and I get personal barbs, such as "does Hillary more represent you?".

Like I said the Irony runs deep.
