If you tear down either Hillary or Obama YOU contribute to McBush
Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 09:18 AM by NoBushSpokenHere
And, frankly, I don't this forum is for the 27% of Americans who support W or his evil twin more of the same McCain. Sure, we all want our favorite candidate to be nominee, but not to the extent of acting like Dubyacons. The only result from tearing down each other is to weaken the eventual nominee. And, frankly, anyone who does such a thing is only contributing to the Republican Party and providing a boost to another four years of the worsening of all the problems we want to eradicate within the United States.

I care about the men and women who are losing their lives for a war that shouldn't have happened.
I care about the people who have no jobs here in the good ole USA.
I care about the people who are going to be losing their jobs if McSame is elected.
I care about the people who have little or no health care - I have been there - it isn't pleasant to walk around sick, in pain and hurting.
I care about the people who have lost their businesses and who are struggling to keep their businesses open.
I care about those who live on the streets in America.
I care about the people in America who are hungry.
I care about global warming and the future of our world if we don't listen to the warning signs.
I care about the animals becoming sick because of a lack of concern for our environment.
I care about the people killed by environmental pollutants.

I care, but one thing is for certain, McBush and those Republicans that have not already fled that party, DON'T GIVE A DAMN!

If you care, like I care, then PLEASE quit trying to tear each others candidate to shreds and quit acting like a bunch of people who don't!

Edited to change nominee to candidate last paragraph and to add: When you post a thread, ask yourself, what is my real motive? Am I posting because I am so caught up in this battle that I do not care about the issues that matter? If my post could convince someone Hillary or Obama is evil, doesn't that hurt our Party in November? Could you just think about that for once?

1. Frankly, I'm more interested in supporting my candidate of choice than ...
... tearing down the other candidate. I've never been one to "boo" a rival sports team; I'd rather cheer like heck for my team.

Do you suggest that the candidates (not just surrogates) only promote their own virtues, and not point out differences between themselves and their opponent? Which Dem candidate acts more appropriately?

4. I agree I'd rather cheer like heck for my team
I would rather people give me a reason to support a candidate, not a reason to hate a candidate. I would really love to see posts regarding, "Why you support the candidate you support" instead of all this crap we have to wade through here in order to find a tidbit that falls through the pages that is worthwhile to read.

I believe most of the people who are posting here have already decided upon a candidate and those who may be wandering him to learn more of our candidates will venture elsewhere because of the sickness in this forum.

6. This doesn't wash
"If you tear down Hillary or Obama you contribute to McCain."

SO WHAT. If the people in this country are ignorant enough to believe McCain or to not get his message, if they are so uninformed believe me, they are not reading DU and if they are McCain voters or looking for reasons NOT to vote this administration out of office, they are only here to sew seeds of division. If Hillary's voters want the same divisions and don't want to take the chance on something new or someone new there is nothing said here that will change that, their mind is already made up. We are doing nothing on DU for the greater American Public but provide a forum to be able to express anger and frustration and for the media and pundits to get an idea of where America is, DU and other blogs also supply a little investigative reporting as a help to the greatly reduced news staffs. If I don't want to hear the diatribe on this blog, I don't read it or participate in it but I sure don't need anyone to help me "make up my mind." Absolutely no one is "driving" others to McCain by drivel, and if they are, then god bless us and god help them.
