Hillary & Bill's Chinese Connection
Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 01:34 PM by EV_Ares
"As Chinese authorities have clamped down on unrest in Tibet and jailed dissidents in advance of the 2008 Olympics, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has taken a strong public stance, calling for restraint in Tibet and urging President Bush to boycott the Olympics opening ceremonies in Beijing. But her recent stern comments on China's internal crackdown collide with former President Bill Clinton's fundraising relationship with a Chinese Internet company accused of collaborating with the mainland government's censorship of the Web. Alibaba ... arranged for the former president to speak to a conference of Internet executives in Hangzhou in September 2005. Instead of taking his standard speaking fees, which have ranged from $100,000 to $400,000, Clinton accepted an unspecified private donation from Alibaba to his international charity, the William J. Clinton Foundation."

2. No problem:

Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic: "There is some truth to this (bitterness). Even John McCain has expressed a similar sentiment about immigration politics. ... The elite media and most Democrats will say ... 'Yeah, ... so? Obama is simply describing world as we know it.' His opponents and people who are inclined to view Obama as an elitist will say, 'he is dismissing the culture and religion of working class whites.' Indeed, the responses to Obama's words have proven (to Obama allies) a part of his argument. Conservatives are already portraying Obama as liberal, elite, out of touch with the values of ordinary Americans — exactly the type of legerdemain that Obama was pointing to.

Now as far as how much ""you say -- we leared that Rezko has raised for Obama"" I really don't know and you didn't say or provide any kind of a link to how much he has raised and if you really - really want to get into donations, that would be fun such as do you remember the chinese that gave so much to Hillary's campaign some time back and since has been indicted and is now in prison.

go around to every candidate that has had a friend make a contribution. Nothing even close to Hillary's associations with not friend but things much much larger and controversial. Read the post below. Good try though. But that guy is such a non-issue is why you don't even hear anything about it other than the article you posted. Nothing to it really, read what Obama said at the top.

3. The Clintons have long been corrupted by money from the PRC
Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 01:43 PM by DJ13
Missle secrets missing soon after recieving large sums for Bill's reelection in 96.

Chinese monks under vows of poverty handing over envelopes filled with money.

Most favored trading status granted to China under Bill's second term.

Theres more there than we know about, and I would bet the GOP knows of crooked deals we havent heard of, deals that are so outragious that they really want Hillary to be our nominee so they can rip her and Bill to shreds in the GE and retain the WH.
