Obama Adviser Calls Naomi Klein a "Whackjob"
Paul Bucha, a public figure and foreign policy adviser to a presidential candidate and Senator from Illinois, called author Naomi Klein a "whackjob" during a recent tour of Pennsylvania college campuses. As he discussed the situation in Iraq this key adviser mentioned several facts about Iraq and its invasion and occupation which resonated with anyone who has read Klein's book "The Shock Doctrine." He mentioned how we are attempting to remake Iraq in our own image along with other references which match Klein's theory.

I asked him if this meant he advocated the position Naomi Klein took and whether the Senator also did. He denied that which seemed strange since he'd just said some of the very same things she wrote in her book. After the event he told me that Naomi Klein is a "whackjob."

And Obama shouldn't be held responsible for what I say.

Unless Obama specifically told this guy to call Naomi Klein a whackjob, the guy is an independent operator.

This "an Obama adviser..." stuff is getting old. Adviser seems like an easy title to get even if its bestowed by the media.

How about "truth tellers"? 911 was a false flag and the government lied about it just like WMD.

Few in Congress question the "King" and his plan for Empire (PNAC) since most are scared or part of it.

Both Obama and Clinton are "moderates" or as we say in real Democratic land...globalists for PNAC.

You can't enforce human rights, enviornment, on countries who already have standing with the WTO unless you throw them out. Do you think Clinton or Obama plan on doing that?

If you want to believe that nonsense, fine. I actually have some first hand experience along with talking to friends in the FDNY and the critical thinking skills to understand the NIST report and the different peer reviewed studies.

There's a reason why KOS doesn't allow that crap there. It's an issue the Republicans would love to expose and it's fcuking complete nonsense. GO to a Ron Paul board if you want to talk that nonsense.

Those who failed us on 911 never held accountable or those who lied never found guilty of perjury. Would you like your child or spouce to die for a lie? Guess you are smug when you aren't effected.

5. You are probably correct that no name calling is "helpful".......
but there are a lot of advisors out there, and I don't believe that what this one said "after and event" to an individual should be considered news ...nor do I think that Obama has to be forced to denounce and renounce every single thing ever said by others about others to others.

That's the problem with our primaries this year, Molehill Politics. http://www.nybooks.com/articles/21231

Mohill Politics is dangerous to our Democracy.

The fact that you are posting this, gives us an illustration as to what is wrong with us today; we care more about degrees of separation as to what was said to whom, as though these folks are of upmost importance as celebrities. Naomi Klein is not running for any office, and neither is Paul Buccha......last I checked. If Buccha and Klein are saying essentially the same thing, then that's great and possibly reportable from the angle of whomever chooses to report on it. However, for the writer to feel compeled to take the story beyond its subject makes him part of the problem that we currently face in this country, when we get off subject and dwell in the area of the personal.

So it is possible that Buccha ought to have known better, but it doesn't absolve this guy in his own complicity in reporting on the stuff that regular folks care very little about, because it doesn't help them, nor does it enhance the conversation. In otherwords three wrongs (including you to a degree) doesn't make a right.

48. Right after 911 engineers and construction people wanted
Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 11:00 PM by mac2
to see the blue prints of the WTC buildings. They had a hearing on CSPAN about being denied them. The government claimed they were top secret and refused to release them. Why is that?

Various professional engineers and construction experts (Associations, etc) wanted to know so they would not repeat the same mistakes in the future. They also did not understand why it happened and needed to see the blueprints. This included the NY Fire Department investigators, etc.

The secrecy and refusal to release documents, blue prints, testimony, etc. was very suspicious by FEMA. You know that agency with "you did a good job Brownie"? FEMA happened to be in NY City the night before 911.

Hillary apologizes when she wants and I never hear these talking say that she will have to explain some more about an issue but, the media tells us what happened with some issue on the campaign trail and they say "Obama will have to apologize or explain this some more" He has already given you his explanation on these issues but they want more, more, more...

67. But he's Obama's foreign policy adviser?
Looking at his biography on Wikipedia, I don't see any experience in foreign policy. He's a Vietnam war vet who won the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1968, and now heads that organization. And... that's it. Unless I'm missing something, he hasn't served in past Administrations, worked in the State Dept., become a PhD in foreign affairs, etc. I'm not exactly sure what qualifies him to be a foreign policy adviser, except that he adds some military cred to Obama's campaign.
