Hillary fails to appreciate the anger in America at where we are. It's her Waterloo.
Americans don't need politicians telling them how wonderful they are, they need straight talk (not McCain's BS) about what W's years have done to them.

This is the quandary for Hillary: She wants to beat Barack over the head for his "bitter" comments, but she knows he's right, and more importantly, so do her supporters.

And this is her Waterloo. It's the end game for Hillary.

1. Now she's backed herself into a corner where she can't address our anger about the last 7 years.

So will we be ignored again?

I'm tired of not having a voice in Washington, and obviously she isn't going to listen.

2. You need your anger addressed?
Your anger is more important than the issues, eh?

6. No, our anger drives the issues. And that's the conundrum Hillary faces.
By denying the anger that exists, and the problems that result, she sets herself up for a VERY big fall.

This week is the end for her.

3. Yes, she has backed herself into a corner, indeed.
Now she can't acknowledge our anger about the Bushites.

She really needed to think her response through instead of jumping to a response, but that's to be expected.

Barack will destroy her in this week's debate over this. Game, set, match.

8. It's not just the *'s years... it started with Ronald Reagan
Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 03:23 PM by lapfog_1
and continued through to today. Even including the Clinton years. Clinton was the one that foisted NAFTA and free trade... he was under the misapprehension that we (the United States) would translate those lost rust belt jobs (jobs shipped to Mexico or, increasingly, to China) would be replaced by information technology jobs. He didn't understand that high tech was going to be limited and just as subject to foreign competition... not to mention that there would be a lot of people who just aren't going to transition to a high tech job.

Bitter? Yeah... the American middle class has been betrayed by every President since Carter, and usually with the consent of Congress. What do we get instead from politicians... the totally elite and arrogant attitude that once every 2 to 4 or even 6 years, they have to come around and have a drink with the "little people" to maintain their place as our overlords.

11. Well said. We have been betrayed, and Hillary is wrong to dismiss that.
I can't add much to your cogent comments, except to say that I am saving that pic.

Thanks.
