Spincheck: Obama never contradicted previous comments by saying he attended those Sermons of Wrights

He made a statement in "A More Perfect Union"

"Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes."

"But the remarks that have caused this recent firestorm weren't simply controversial."


Some Hillary supporters have spun this as him admitting that he had heard the several sermons that had been looped on TV.


He is admitting here, that he was there when controversial remarks were made. He is not saying that he was there when THOSE controversial remarks(or rather, "not simply controversial"), for example the 9/11 remarks, were made. To say that he is, is to make a huge jump in logic and implication. It is like this scenario...

"Did you go to that fair on Tuesday with the gigantic pigs?"
"no"

Later...

"I have gone to several fairs with large pigs."
"YOU LIED TO ME!"
