he has not always does well in these type of forums. but he is doing a good job here. far better than Hillary did. not just in style but he is full of substance.
he explains things in a way where people can understand based on personal experience.
i loved his answer to the question about abortion .

It's easy to do well when you can speak openly. He's speaking straight from the heart, I love it.

4. Pro-choicers ignore the moral consequences of abortion? How high and mighty of him |
|
He actually said again that pro-choicers ignore the moral consequences of abortion. Way to slam another whole population he doesn't belong to over an issue he'll never face and doesn't understand. He's a jerk.

For the entire 8 years he was in office? We should make abbortion rare...why would you want to make it rare if there weren't consequences for it.

Consequences are optional.

Women who have had abortions sometimes don't have health consequences and some residual feelings about it?
I'm 100% pro-choice but there are consequences to abortion that we don't talk about.

26. Talking about abortion |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 08:44 PM by splat
Undoings and major life choices may or may not have consequences. Context matters. There's always something that doesn't happen.
For some, the decision on its own is damaging, especially if conservative religion has them damned for it. That's the moral dilemma, some science could help validate this discovered truth.
Many people don't think a few cells have consciousness; some confirmed pregnancies abort after a couple of months with the early delivery of an undifferentiated something that looks like a chicken neck.
One of the great religious debates is when a soul enters a body.
None of this notes that the actual medical procedure is far safer than what it replaced: coat hangers and back alley deaths. To which it could again return, if male authorities debate who controls a woman's body and her life choices as though it were just theoretical theology, but might make a good law.
But what's really absurd is this sort of prim political discussion in a blatantly sexualized culture, which they do not discuss.

Hillary. Even neocon bushie, Michael Gershon had to admit the same. And, the audience was CLEARLY more with Obama than with Hillary.

The second hour really did go fast. I thought the questions from the audience were far superior to the interviewers' - I'm not religious, but I appreciated the faith community's focus on social issues.
