5. I had the impression that |
|
Clark didn't want to be a VP? And would they get along?.. because Obama will want someone who's on his same page and could work synergystically well with him.

I supported the General in 2004, and I would have supported him again if he ran in 2008 BUT he's too close to the Clintons

16. I know...Obama has wonderful foreign policy |
|
experts advising him and he could get Samantha Powers BACK!
It's common sense and good judgement that's going to revolutionize America again.

10. Man I would love that. And ironically, Obama is more likely to chose Wes |
|
than Hillary would be, imo.
It's the whole confidence/ego-under-control thing. Obama would not be intimidated or threatened by Wes' brilliance, and is comfortable enough in his own skin to let Wes be Wes.
And with our country facing so many different emergency situations, how awesome would it be to have two brilliant leaders able to take charge in so many different areas?
But I'm not getting my hopes up.

15. Looking for military experience... |
|
Obama is looking for someone with military experience? I'll buy that as a smart move.
Meanwhile, Hillary is looking for someone with more military experience than her, and I'm sad to report she hasn't found one even close yet. The look continues.

14. Clark wasn't a bad campaigner (per the post) |
|
In fact, for a guy who was just cutting his teeth on politics, he was pretty damned good.
I've heard much worse ideas.

17. I remember reading where Obama said |
|
he would want someone as VP who would be willing to continue his agenda as President, if something unfortunate were to happen. That would make sense, as it could lessen the possibility of assassination. I really hate the fact that I think about that a lot with Obama, but it seems like the great progressives are the ones who are taken out (Lincoln, MLK, JFK, RFK). I do believe he will be a great and progressive President. Would Clark meet that one criterion? I'm not sure, but his leadership and intricate knowledge of our military would be huge pluses. I also am a bit wary of his deep friendship with the Clintons, however.

19. I've said it before and I'll say it again .. |
|
IMHO, Clark is definitely to the left of Clinton. That was my feeling about him back in 2004, and I haven't seen anything that would change my opinion.
I supported the General in 2004 and would absolutely LOVE to have him on the ticket.
