Hillary out of touch with vote supression, takes swipe at Gore and Kerry

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/13/clinton-gore-and-kerry-we_n_96452.html">Clinton: Gore And Kerry Lost Because They Were Viewed As Elitist

GORE WON the SCOTUS stole that election from him. Guess she only cares about Florida NOW

But in 2004, the suspicious voter-registration cards put him into one of the country’s most heated political issues. (At least one other recently ousted United States attorney, John McKay of Seattle, said he believed that Bush administration officials were similarly angry that he had not prosecuted voter fraud cases involving Democrats.)

Mr. Bush lost New Mexico to Al Gore by 366 votes in 2000. So in 2004, several Democratic-leaning groups had begun voter registration drives here. Republicans were concerned that this could lead to illegal immigrants and others being registered improperly.

Republicans prevented more than 350,000 voters in Ohio from casting ballots or having their votes counted -- enough to have put John Kerry in the White House.

Hillary is so out of touch she lent her campaign $5 million (3X Obama's net worth)and is charging interest on it. Kerry mortgaged his house and did it before a single vote was cast.

edited to add link to story and video on HRC's remarks.

1. And Mitt Romney spent about $60 million of his own money, before Hillary came up with
the idea of loaning the money to her own campaign.

She wants the $5 million back, with interest, so it can keep the other $109 million company.

6. I know that it is hard for you to see reality as your Obama goggles are all fogged up
Edited on Sun Apr-13-08 10:43 PM by Evergreen Emerald
But, I will try: she was suggesting that they were painted in that light by the Republicans and that, even tho it was not true, we do not want to feed them ammunition by acting like an elitist.

Again: just as you attempt to be reasonable whenever Obama says something, try to be reasonable when Clinton says something.

You can continue to twist her words and hate her, if that makes you feel better. But it is just that: twisting the truth.

7. She suggested that the perception was why "they" lost. That's BS!
Gore won, and an electorate believing "them" to be out of touch had nothing to do with the outcome of the 2000 and 2004 election.

Her words are friggin clear, her logic is what's fuzzy!

10. oh i see
It was Hillary Clinton doing us all a favor by pointing out to every person that would listen that the GOP would use this against Obama. It wasn't actually her using this against Obama.

Since the only way she can possibly win is for 65% of the remaining superdelegates to vote for her, why didn't she just call the super delegates themselves and make this point?

What was the reason to make the point about the GE election to the press, and send the press what Grover Norquist thought about them?

12. Exact quote from video linked to in OP
Clinton: "Out of touch," and like Gore:

Clinton then repeated her suggestion that John Kerry and Al Gore had failed to be seen as respecting people of faith, said Obama is " a good man and a man of faith."

"We had two very good men, and men of faith, run for president in 2000 and 2004," she said. "Large segments of the electorate concluded that they did not really understand, or relate to, or respect their ways of life."

Does Hillary know that Gore won, and the Kerry got 12 million more votes than her husband?
