Well, it looks like it's finally over for Hillary
It's really too bad. It was her turn, but she ran up against the juggernaut that is Obama. It's a shame, but there's always 2016 if she really wants it.

Let's give it up for her, and for the valiant campaign she's waged. :patriot:

And god bless her ardent supporters - you've fought the good fight, and I salute you too. :patriot:

We're proud of you Hill, and we hope you keep the fire in your belly for your next chance at returning to the White House. :bounce:

25. oh get real now, she's a zombie candidate
she can only sustain herself by knocking Obama down but it doesn't make her candidacy any more viable, it just hurts his.

she ran a bad campaign and even if she runs a good one from here on out, that's not enough to win.

she had all the advantages and she screwed up royally. she's losing to a guy that when he started had no money, had lost out on all the big endorsements compared to her, didn't have the cadre of support and good will in the party to match what a long suffering former First Lady and good senator from New York had.

and she lost by not doing what she needed to do to win, by letting her strategists give her bad advice (and by taking that advice) by letting her campaign blow their wad in Iowa for a freaking third place finish.

4. in 8 years, of course
Obama's VP would have inroads made towards that nomination, though. And the Obama political machine will be the biggest, baddest, money-raising mofo that you've ever seen by then, and would assist said VP.

17. She knows if she loses here, she will never be able to run again...
...that is why she has gone full-bore on the BushJr/Rove tactics.

That's how it goes in politics. If a party potential candidate drags it out to the end, especially if they cause division in the party, they are finished. They will never find the support to run again.

That's why Mitt Romney ran when he did and, despite the fact that he believes McCain is a fool, is now on the trail stumping for him. By getting out early and working for party unity, Romney will be a formidble candidate when he runs again.

Not hillary, though. She has shit in the soup pot, and she will be forced to eat her own shit soup.

And good job to Hillary's supporters too. You've carried her a long way.

But it's not over for you! There's still work to be done! Consider joining with your fellow Dems and backing Barack. I realize he wasn't your FIRST choice. He wasn't mine either. But he's gonna do a GREAT job and we'd love your help. Think about it!

14. She was toast before she ever entered the race.
Before: Too polarizing.
Since: Even more so.

Hello to anybody that doesn't stand to gain a politically appointed position from the HRC administration. (That's not going to happen, if ever again.) Her campaign is imploding. She was a nice idea at one time. Unfortunately, that's all she is now. An old idea and a bitter spoiler to boot.

I'm in that "just saying" mode.

27. She won't ever be able to run again...
...By taking her failing campaign this far and being so divisive, she will never get the support of her financiers and the Democratic Party for another try at the White House.

Mitt Romney played it smart. He got out early, and--despite the fact that he thinks McCain is a fool--he has been on the campaign trail stumping for McCain.

That's the kind of candidate that a political party will back again, and whose financial backers will risk their money again.

Hillary is the Poster Child for what to do in a campaign to make sure your political career is over for good.

And I say: Good riddance.
