that far away look
http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/2008/04/14/obama_supporters/

I swear I've seen this first hand.
My nephew who is a bit nerdy but fairly intelligent had that far away look. He has always been politically aware, but this Easter he was sitting reading Obama's book and I asked him what he thought about the state of politics in general. He stood up, arms folded and started ripping into Hillary with freeper like comments. I told him he was the first person I had seen first hand that had drank the kool aid. He got very upset and was trying to threaten me and was acting very peculiar. He knew of course to actually try to carry out his threat against me would be suicide, and I think that the only thing that stopped him. I've seen this strange behavior in these forums, but that was the only time I saw it in person. This article describes similar behavior. From where I stand on this election, I back Hillary, but I know this country cannot survive another four years in the hands of the repubs. McCain is not acceptable, and the media has a real love for him. In Obama's case it may be their hatred of Hillary that gives Obama a clear media advantage.

2. try reading it
You couldn't possibly read that piece that quickly. Open your mind, read the entire piece, it seems to describe you. The author is an Obama supporter.

3. Sorry, bill, but I get an error message
furthermore, I've never threatened or physically assailed anyone in my entire life. I find your comment repugnant. You don't know me, and to make a comment that I'm just like some 18 year old in some article posted on the web, show only that YOU are eager to jump to negative conclusions about Obama supporters. Sad.

6. Of course you made a comment about me.
You said I was like the person the author was describing. Why people try to weasel out of crap they said, when it's posted for all to see, is a mystery to me.

And what part of I can't access the piece, did you miss?

9. what I posted
I posted a factual experience I had with my own god son. It wasn't edited or embellished. I was very surprised by his demeanor and I must say I don't understand his thinking. It's the thinking of a narrow minded person, divorced from reality. This person was always pretty level headed, with a good sense of humor. That sense of humor has vanished along with his old personality. I read this article and found the author (an Obama supporter)has had similar encounters.
