One of the dumbest LTTEs I have ever seen
Obama and Wright

Would you want our president to be a 20-plus year attendee of Westboro Baptist Church under the auspices of Fred Phelps? Even if that person had a combined rhetoric of a John Kennedy and Martin Luther King?

You know, if you hear evil words long enough, you can’t escape their effects, even with a silver tongue.

1. Just keep recycling
It's good for the bottle, it's good for the can.

2. I suppose this is a step up from "Obama's a Muslim".
But not much of one.

3. Makes me wonder how many times Wright has talked about
who God hates and how many funerals he has picketed.

8. Hate and ignorance
can go hand in hand sometimes. There is more truth to the OP than one would think.

18. The difference...
between the hatred and ignorance of Fred Phelps and the hatred and ignorance of Jeremiah Wright is small and insignificant. Both have hatred and ignorance deeply embedded in their minds and their bodies, prefering to address it by lashing out and blaming others for these utter and abject failures of their own selves rather than work towards a better world.

The Obama embracing of Wright, even after he contuinues his hate-laced sermons (more this past weekend, blaming "Founding Fathers" for instilling a DNA of racism in America rather understanding that society 230 years ago was vastly different than ours today and looking at those times through the lens of history does not impart a sense of today's knowledge and perspective on life) remains one of his major, major gaffes.

4. "You're overeducated"
That's the insult that came back to me when I countered this same bullshit argument phone banking this weekend. The guy was worse though, he started with the "Obama is a Muslim" shit and moved on to this. He claimed he was a Hillary supporter but I doubt it. He was a straight up bigot.

12. Excellent plan
Close down the airlock. Breathe deeply of the pure oxygen.
You feel better already.

6. What the hell was that comment supposed to
mean? Some people's disdain for knowledge is just mind-boggling. I hope you let him know that it's much preferable to be "overeducated" (if that's even possible) to being an ignorant dumbass moron.

16. I was very polite and never raised by voice, but I did ask him what he meant by that.
And he just said "It means you're overeducated". So I thanked him, wished him a great day and hung up.

I'd find it difficult, however, to be nice to someone who was so obviously an idiot. I admire your ability to stay calm and pleasant.

14. Chelsea Clinton went to a private school
And that is most likely where Obama's kids will go. Not only do the DC public schools suck, but there is also a security concern that might be easier to meet at a private school.

15. Yes. Sidwell Friends
I wonder if that will be their pick too if they get the chance. It's a really good school. "green" too. You can be sure they are preparing even though they are "full".

19. Why would he change?
His kids already go to private schools. Its yet another of the disconnects that politicians of today, all of them, have with the hoi polli. They'll talk a good "I feel your pain" and they will have *no fucking idea* what we are going through.

20. I think they go to (private) school in Chicago.
I was assuming he would move to Washington. Perhaps that is a false assumption.
