When Hillary speaks I find my mind wandering, and I'm thinking about grocery lists and other banal things like that.

Her most scripted lines, as delivered, can be even at the most charitable bias be described as getting a "smattering" of applause.

Even her most contrived vitriol barely raises my interest.

She is a good fodder for humor, that's about all.

1. It's time to laugh
Because her campaign is laughable.

2. Her entire Compassion Forum apperance last night
was just one boilerplate answer after another. I listened to her speak for an hour, and I don't feel like I really know any more about her positions.

4. I didn't even see her. I saw the end of Obama's. On a repeat.
I work 'til 1AM so I have to catch most things on repeat or Youtube.

I did see Jim Wallis from Sojourners pose a question. I have enormous respect for him.

7. Most of her "responses" weren't responsive ... just rambling sprinkled with "feel good" crap.

If one listened critically (I watched twice - hours of my life I'll never get back) and tracked the specifics of the question against the answers, Senator Clinton riffed and rambled FAR more often than Senator Obama. It was a pander-fest ... all incense and little light.

3. I have the same problem listening to her. Contrived, canned, ritualistic blather.

She suffers from the same false vocal modulations as Junior, too. She's the least sincere candidate of ALL the Democratic candidates, imho. Like Smirk, she only comes across as 'energized' behind her words when she's being sarcastic and venomous. She seems to savor going negative.

9. YEP - absolutely correct.
She's a lot more wooden than I remember her being. Maybe she's on some kind of anti- anxiety med or something.

The difference between the two last night was pretty stark.

5. some believe that humans are capable of only two emotions . . . love and fear . . .
all other emotions derive from these two fundamental emotions . . . and where one exists, the other cannot . . .

the opposite of love, then, would be neither hate nor apathy, but fear . . . where fear exists, love cannot exist . . . and where love exists, fear cannot exist . . .

something to think about . . .
