Have you seen the latest * campaign ad?
Edited on Wed Jun-16-04 02:15 PM by bkcc
The ad trumpets the growth of the economy under Bush*. It concludes by going after Kerry for his criticism of these "facts."

Actual copy from the ad:
"John Kerry's response? He's talking about the Great Depression. One thing's sure… Pessimism never created a job."

"Pessimism never created a job"?!?

What the hell is that supposed to be? Is that the best the Bush* campaign can create without resorting to namecalling and attack ads?

Now Kerry isn't just a supporter of terrorists; he's also a (gasp) PESSIMIST....and a doo-doo head.

:eyes:

Oh, and by the way, check out one of the "facts" in the ad:
"Overall, The National Homeownership Rate Hit An All-Time High Of 68.6 Percent For The First Three Months Of 2004." (Allen Norwood, "Families Falter In Homeownership," Charlotte Observer, 5/19/04)

Now read the fine print on what the article is actually about (from the Charlotte Observer site):

FAMILIES FALTER IN HOMEOWNERSHIP

Source: ASSOCIATED PRESS, ALLEN NORWOOD, STAFF WRITER, THE ASSOCIATED
PRESS CONTRIBUTED.

Homeownership rates for families with children have declined since the 1970s, even as overall ownership rates have soared to record levels - and low- to moderate-income working families have been particularly hard hit. That means those for whom homeownership is most important aren't reaping its benefits as fully as they could be, said Charlotte housing leaders and the head of the Center for Housing Policy, the Washington affordable housing coalition that released the study.

Bravo, Mr. pResident. Keep spinnin' the facts.
