Thank you Hillary. You have put your own self-centered empty ambition ahead of the chance for the Democrats to win the Presidency. And you may succeed in setting the stage for your 2012 run.

Good job.

5. Consider the source! Scabrous is an idiot ...
SNAP OUT OF IT! That's exactly what the punditocracy want you to
think, that the sky is falling, the end is near! Give up hope!
Just go with the status quo! It's as if what Obama said is
making even his supporters behave like the citizens he was
describing -- resistant to change, hopeless, just willing to
settle for more of the same.

NOT THIS TIME!

Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 05:22 PM by Armstead
It's Hillary who is helping to keep this crap alive, regardless of the consequences.

If she were not such an ambitious (self censored), she'd let little gaffes like that slide, instead of distorting and lying about it, and helping to do Karl Roves work for him.

It's especially galling because Obama has not said anything that all Democrats -- including the Clintons -- don't already think and say all the time.

19. We should all be such idiots
She is not just finger pointing.

She is LYING because she knows exactly what he meant and she agrees with him. But she's decided to warp it in an effort to play to the crowd.

You really disagree with what Obama said in full? You don't think the GOP has been winning all these years by diverting the public's attention from economic issues to social wedge issues?

You really don;t think that to win them back the Democrats have to offer something that actually addresses the interests of average people again? Don't you realize that is exactly what she has been trying to do in her own campaign?

Honestly. What part of Obama said do you and Hillary honestly disagree with?

39. You're quite the mind reader
And just as good at it as one would expect. You don't know what Hillary's thinking any more than I do. You're projecting your own shit into the world and tarring Hillary with it, then complaining that she's all shitty.

And to make it worse, it was Obama that wiped his ass on the american people first and you don't even acknowledge it was a BAD mistake. He's acting like a chimp flinging poo at the visitors in the zoo and you're taking his side and defending that? And you expect the visitors to come back? What the fuck is wrong with you?

We. Need. These. Voters.

Surely even a blind Obamanian can see that?

45. No mind reading necessary
http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1688794,00.html

There are signs of festering intolerance even among Democratic audiences, noticeably in Iowa, which has seen a surge of Latino immigration in recent years. The Democratic candidates are uniformly in favor of comprehensive immigration reform, including a path to citizenship for those who have entered the country illegally. But they receive sharp — pointed — applause when they say illegals should "have to speak English" before becoming citizens. When I asked Hillary Clinton about that, she said she'd noticed it too and added, "During the 1990s, I cannot remember being asked about immigration... Why? Because the economy was working... And average Americans didn't have to go around looking for someone to blame."

And since the PURGING of Randi, the ONLY reason I'm still with XM, is Thom Hartmann. And the ONLY reason I listen to Thom Hartmann, is to get his Friday interview with Bernie Sanders! (No, that's not REALLY true; I just said that for effect. I have him on auto-record, and later listen to ALL his broadcasts.) Bernie Sanders is the GREATEST!

All the blame Clinton and "waaa, she won't step down" posts have even less credibility than the blame Nader threads.

Bottom line is that Obama's NEVER been in a tough campaign under the microscope before. He's an unproven quantity.

If he manages to get the nomination- then having gone this fight will prove to be an advantage, providing much needed practice for the fall.

26. I don;t blame Clinton for what Obama said. I blame her for amplifying a mistake.
She is playing into the GOP's hands.

Forget about if Obama gets the nomination.

Do you honestly believe the GOP won't work just as hard to tag Hillary as an out of touch elitist?

By reinforcing the meme that Obama is an "elitist" Democrat, she is merely giving the GOP more ammo.

17. The Clinton-loving media obsessively focuses on creating ways for the obvious winner to lose.
Dissecting every word that comes out his mouth to look for or distort any statement he makes in order to generate a manufactured "stumble". Soon they will have a camera pointed up his nose to peer into his sinuses in order to report on whether his olfactory organs will be the cause of his downfall in the campaign. :eyes:

If Obama loses because of the damage she's done, she will have very little support in 2012. I predict that she won't even run for re-election for her senate seat. It would look really bad if she is running for president, and then loses in the Senate primary.

47. I don't see a potential winner on the table,
for either kind of win. Not for the "win the GE at any cost" win, and not for the true win of electing a good president.

The division in the party started before HRC or Obama entered the primary race. They've just BOTH upped the intensity, and widened the divide. BOTH of them, and many of their supporters.

I understand some of it. I understand the intense emotional attachment to the possible first black president, or first woman president. The single-minded intensity that, in too many cases, leaves reason behind. I understand, and I empathize.

I know better than to place the blame on one or the other, though.
