Rasmussen daily graph for 4/14/08 - Obama up 3 (48), Clinton down 2 (44)
Engines are back online, Houston.

(Pretend that the 10 and 20 lines are actually 0. Does anyone know how to make Excel label different parts of the axis differently?)

Gallup says O 50, C 40. Very encouraging for us cultists:

These Rasmussen graphs are all contained on one Web page at http://www.dvorkin.com/rastrack.html

1. Which State, Houston?
National Polls mean nothing in a Primary.

So which state?

2. Sure they do.
Especially with hundreds of uncommitted superdelegates.

And I'm sure hillary supporters weren't saying they meant nothing back when she had a 20 point lead.

5. Actually, they don't.
And Hillary supporters shouldn't have been saying so if they did.

Because they don't.

They are state by state primaries and caucuses.

7. The state by state results have given Obama a comfortable lead.
One that is out of reach for Hillary. Period. The National Polls count to those who are the decision makers, now--the Superdelegates. They want to back the one that will give them the greatest shot at re-election.

Obama leads among all elected Superdelegates. And National polls trending to him will bring in more.

11. This is a huge point.
Obama has the advantage across the board. Clinton can only close that gap by attacking Obama which will do NOTHING against the McCain machine during the GE.

The supers know this. They will not overturn the pledged delegates.

4. Looks like the Clinton support due to Bittergate has ended.
I can hardly believe how fast it reversed. Now Clinton will soon be back on the Offensive.

After the outrage of an ad posted today I suspect it will open even more!

GOBAMA!!

10. She never had any real, grassroots support due to Bittergate. Don't believe the hype.
She got booed the first time she mentioned the subject.

Speaking to a union audience, she was confronted and disagreed with in the middle of a speech seeking to continue her Bittergate attack.

Another planned speech today was cut 30-40 minutes short because the audience didn't care enough to pay attention to what she was saying.

Obama talked about his bittergate comments and how disgraceful Hillary's distorted attacks have been and HE gets applause and a standing ovation everywhere he's been.

Someone find the duck blink and six-shooter. PA isn't falling for it.

13. Looks like we're seeing a bunch of statistical fluctuations in the Rasm. Gallup is more consistent.

One day Obama trails and some ecstatic people say "Obama's numbers are falling, this could be it!"

JacksonDem's thread about Obama slipping in the polls now debunked.

14. Its going to get even more in flux after the clinton attack ad.
My guess is Obama will gain a few points and clinton will drop quite a few while bouncing around.

Things are getting so crazy that we may not know anything near what is going to happen in the PA primary until the results come in.

17. With their sampling or their model, or both
Whatever it is that causes these fluctuations, which are presumably not real.

27. 20 days seems to be about right
Short enough to be meaningful, long enough to be insensitive to short-term fluctuations.

I think.

22. She's not in this to win it. She's in this to support McSame.
Let's show Congress how it is done by coming together on this to make sure the Democratic candidate wins.

Unless you want to help Clinton in supporting McSame. Then I don't think the Democratic party wants people who do shit like that - being a Democrat and supporting the Republican.
