Hillary: Desperate Times Call For Whiskey and Beer! (4/14/2008)
You could see it in Hillary’s demeanor. She was so hoping this was the story that would derail Obama. Maybe the “bitter” comment would be the opportunity she could seize on!!! Nothing else had worked. She was so far past desperate that she had nothing left but begging for someone to find some reason to hate Obama.

And you can wrap up the Hillary campaign in three words: “Wait and React”!

“Wait and React” should actually be her campaign slogan. Because I bet 90% of America does not know what her real slogan is.

But the “Bitter” comment proved once again that Hillary has no plan for America except to wait for Obama to say something wrong and then jump on it. What “Great” speeches have you heard from Hillary? What comments has she said in this campaign that inspired you? What stance has she had that you said “wow, that is what I want from a candidate”? What chances has she taken? What has she done different than thousands of other campaigns have done over the years? Nothing!

It comes down to this. Hillary is a “campaigner” and Obama is a “leader”. Hillary on a daily basis wonders how to win the nomination and Obama wonders how to make America better. Hillary wonders how to find a flaw in Obama and Obama wonders how to find a solution so America’s problems.

While Hillary sits around with her advisors trying to find out how to make Obama look bad, Obama tell his advisors what he will tell American so they will support him. While Hillary whines about being outspent, Obama motivates a couple of million donors to send in $20 and $30 dollars a month. While Hillary insults Obama, Obama tells audiences why the old school politics that rule Washington will no longer work.

Hillary has no idea how to campaign against Obama because Obama isn’t worried about campaigning as much as he is worried about doing the right thing.

The only thing you need to remember about Hillary is this: Hillary would rather win the nomination and LOSE the general election than have Obama win the nomination and WIN the general election. That is because Hillary’s ego is more important than the democrats winning the general election.

I guarantee if Obama thought he was less likely to win the General Election than Hillary he would drop out today. He cares more about America than himself. Hillary doesn’t.

The “bitter” comment is a perfect example of how Hillary campaigns. Instead of saying that Obama misspoke or Obama used the wrong words, she sees it as an opportunity to make him look bad so she can get the nomination. She is using it as much as she can to destroy Obama. She is passing out bumper stickers. She is mocking him. She is doing her best to use it to ruin him.
If Hillary would have said it and then said she used the wrong words then I guarantee Obama would have said “I take Hillary’s word that she did not mean what she said” or something like it.

Obama has been a class act in how he has treated Hillary. But I think the “bitter” story has brought out a little tougher Obama because he sees that sometimes a bully needs to be punched back to make them shut up. Hillary is a bully.

The most ridiculous part of this whole “bitter” story is how Hillary is such a campaigner and such a textbook politician that she actually took a shot of whiskey and beer at a bar to take advantage of the “bitter” comments.

Now, you can see the Hillary Camp sitting around and talking about what they could do to take advantage of the “bitter” story. And some idiot actually had to suggest that “drinking in a bar” would convince people that Hillary was just like them. So Hillary actually did it. How stupid is this woman? Does she actually think that people do not see through that ploy? Is she so desperate that drinking in a bar sounded like a good idea?

Does ANYONE think that if the story was reversed that anyone could convince Obama to go to a bar and take a shot if he had not planned on doing it anyway? If you would have suggested that to Obama he would have laughed you out of the room or fired you. Obama is not going to do something for the campaign that he would not usually do. He knows better.

Just like when everyone told Obama to tear Wright to pieces over the pastor story, Obama decided to tell America what was wrong with race in this country. No other politician would have done it, but Obama did because it was the right thing to do. Not because it would get him votes.

And when he made his “bitter” talk in San Francisco he was saying stuff that need to be said. And even thought he might have said it wrong. I guarantee that he has thought more about that issue in the last week than Hillary has in her life. Obama wants solutions to problems and Hillary wants to win the nomination.

Hillary is campaigning by committee. Obama is campaigning by telling people his answers for the country.

Hillary looks like an opportunistic desperate candidate who will do anything to destroy Obama to get the nomination. It is sad. Hillary knows Obama is not like the comments she saying about him now. But she is willing to lie because she is so desperate, so disappointed and so scared that she might lose. She is so scared that taking a shot of whiskey sounded like a good idea. I would suggest Hilary keep a bottle of Crown around for the next few weeks. It might make losing a little easier.

i just said to my husband "is this what we want in our president, a woman who tosses down shots like that in a bar"? not very presidential IMO.

18. I wonder if she'll hit a bong at college frat house next ...
maybe go to a strip joint and stuff dollars in the "dancers" g-strings, you know, to show she's "one of the guys".

Good grief...

7. Well said!
:hi:

I still don't get the bar thing. I have no problem with a candidate going to a pub, sitting down and having a beer with the locals - talking and listening in a casual atmosphere. But slamming a shot ... that was a bit much. I don't understand who she was trying to impress with that. Do Americans want a president who does shooters? I think we already have one of those. :P

8. I know, the image with the beer in one hand
and the shot in the other was pretty unpleasant. Is she running for president or is she a freshman at her first frat party feeling awkward and desparately trying to fit in and thinking that drinking will make her look cool. Sorry, I am a middle-aged white woman myself and I just don't like the image, no sense of propriety.

"What “Great” speeches have you heard from Hillary?"

Why hasn't she given a major speech on women's rights?
