Hillary, IMO, just played one of the dirtiest damned tricks ever played
in presidential politics. I said before that I would vote for the Democratic nominee, whomever he/she might be. I'm rescinding that pledge right now.

93. Fortunately, Obama is going to be the nominee
Clintonistas can have all the delusions they want, but the fact is that Obama is going to be the nominee for the Democratic Party.

She's already lost. The math is insurmountable at this point, and the way the polls are going in Pennsylvania, after that contest is over, even if she squeaks by with a victory, the math will be even worse for her.

And you miss the point, entirely. She's in it for selfish reasons with this kind of politicking. McCain can bring it on, and we will counter it. I expect better from the Democrats, period, including Hillary. Her fighting like this within the party is distasteful and does not represent what Democrats stand for. It is expected from the Repugs. Not from Democrats.

Edited on Mon Apr-14-08 10:08 PM by depakid
and guestimate the likely preference weighting, it probably is a good many GDP Obama supporters' first presidential election, or else the 1st election that they've really felt a part of.

Also, if you think about it- this is a demographic that's been brought up on the world wide web. On the positive side- there's a dynamic there that older, more experienced folks tend to lack- quick reaction and a sometimes healthy sense of outrage.

On the other hand, that's a two edged sword, because it also lends itself to shortsightedness and volatility.

(not to mention the usual troubles with rudeness and Manichean thinking we all go through as we mature).

38. Yes, she did. Maybe it was fair game in the short run
and it likely won't harm Obama in the long run.

It will just make more work in the GE.

But it was ugly as hell.

This woman whose husband took 80k from the same people in Colombia that are murdering labor organizers in the thousands every year -- she's trying to say she's for labor. The same person whose top aide just met with the same Colombian butchers that attack their opponents with chain saws.

That Hillary Clinton.

The same person who last night implied that San Francisco is full of elites less American than anyone else. Shit. Maybe she should come out here by the beach and visit with the homeless people. Or I could take her on the foreclosure tour or the closed small business tour or the closed clinic tour. We're latte liberal elites, all right. Unemployed ones fighting the highest fuel prices in the country and watching our salaries tank in relation to the economy just like every one else.

WHERE WILL YOU SPEND THAT COLOMBIAN BLOOD MONEY, HILLARY?

Not in my White House, you hypocrite. Not if I can help it.

it was 800K that Bill Clinton stashed in their account from the Colombians - which of course SHE is using NOW as I understand it ..

THAT is the question I want her to answer NOW, and not Cackle Off like she did the very day she began the Bitter War against her fellow Dem, my buddy Obama...

I Believe THAT is one question, that total conflict of Interest that will bring her and her Sugar Daddy down in this blundering mess of a campaign.. And isn't Penn STILL advising her? That's what I heard, and this petty ass, henhouse chickenshit has His Fingerprints all over it ..

To be honest, I think she's got Rove himself advising her, and he's fucking all of us over and laughing his ass off, knowing they're going to steal it for McWar anyway...

68. I've seen you bring this up about 500 times...
is that really all you have? Is a (factual) campaign flier worse than siding with Karl Rove, Grover Norquist, and John McCain?

Clinton Surrogate Compares Obama Ad to Nazi March

http://news.yahoo.com/s/thenation/20080201/cm_thenation/45278988_1
Fri Feb 1, 2:23 PM ET
The Nation -- On a media conference call organized by the Hillary Clinton campaign today, Clinton surrogate Len Nichols compared an Obama health care ad to Nazis.

----------
Accusing political opponents of Nazism is an outrageous smear. Raising the specter of a Nazi march in response to a health care mailer that evokes the insurance industry is so absurd, it would be hard to take the attack seriously, were it not launched from a high profile national campaign conference call in this crucial stretch of the presidential race. And political observers know, of course, that the Clinton Campaign regularly arranges opportunities for surrogates to launch these kind of smears, which are later followed up with apologies. (See: Bob Johnson, Bill Shaheen, Bob Kerrey, and Francine Torge, to name the most recent offenders.) For his part, Nichols did not immediately return a call requesting further comment.
-------------------------
Len Nichols, Director of New America's Health Policy Program, stated, "For nearly 17 years I have worked tirelessly to reform our nation's struggling health system. Today my passion overwhelmed me. I chose an analogy that was wholly inappropriate. I am deeply sorry for any offense that my unfortunate comments may have caused.

84. The one that sticks in my craw.....
was during the debates when the moderator (forget now) wanted each candidate to come forward with a shortcomming of theirs.

True to test Obama talked about his lack of day to day organizational skills. Everybody has some faults. Notice he answered first. Then Hillary went on a tirade about she cared too much for poor people. What a phonie with a Higher case P. That was the start of her gutter campaign tactics as far as I'm concerned. Then she got worse, much worse. IOW, she used the plight of poor people to make a political jibe and then spit in their face again by seizing the moment and not having to admit any of her own shortcommings. Unconscienceable!!!

Edwards didn't do much better, IIRC. But he did get over it and beyond it. She has played that phonie card when it suits her non stop from the beginning.

She makes me sick to my stomach sometimes. I voted for the Clintons, twice. I must have been drunk, ya think?

90. Why Won't She End It Now!
She has no chance. It's all over for her and I want desperately to still like her. At least she could leave with some shreds of integrity and respect still left. If this continues much longer, she's going to be in the same corner of the party that Joe Lieberman is in.
