I think Hillary's overplay of "bittergate" is going to bite her in the ass.
She has already virtually ensured that Gore, at some point, will endorse Obama (given that she again sunk into the gutter slamming him as an "elitist" - who actually WON that election by the way.) What Team-Obama needs to do is cut an ad that shows how this HYPOCRITE takes more PAC and Lobbyist $ than even the R's, sat on the WalMart board when Obama was helping laid off steel workers in PA, worked for the corporate Rose Law Firm, fought for NAFTA, has a husband and close adviser who love Columbia Free Trade, and every piece of stinking anti-worker, pro-corporate crap she has pulled for years. He also needs to cut one showing his own VERY modest upbringing to make her look like more of an idiot. I really think the counter ad is coming, and she won't enjoy it. And come Wed. night, look out Hillary. You're gonna get knocked back on your heels in Philly. She has opened Pandora's boc BIGTIME.

3. She overplayed it alright. That's one of her faults, she can only attack.
That's why she failed so miserably at getting that HC legislation passed.

6. She should have let surrogates do the talking. Her actions have only played into her biggest
weakness: likeability and trustworthiness. Talking about duck blinds, guns, and the 'working man versus the elitists' really only proved to voters that she will say and do anything to win.

Obama calling her out with 'Annie Oakley' was the final nail in the coffin.

7. actually it was the combination of his
calling her out on Colombia trade deal, Nafta for and then "against it", and the bankruptcy bill that benefited the credit card companies.

She should have never said he was out of touch

8. Obama always, and I do mean always, seems to handle these things
like a master leader. These things of Hillary's always seem to only make Obama shine all the more.

Its her "Michael Dukakis in a Tank" moment.

13. If the Media would just shut the fuck up about it and let the voters decide
Edited on Tue Apr-15-08 12:20 AM by Quixote1818
if its relevant or not. The Media has acted like they think Hillary is right. However, Hillary may be feeding off the media's attention to the subject and unaware that she is overplaying this. If she were to check out DU and some of the polling she probably would stop her bittergate ad, pronto.

17. She is such a stupid twit! Gore probably already indicated (by not really talking to them)
that he was not falling for their bullshit. Otherwise, why in the world would she throw him under the bus? She knew she would not get his vote and probably decided to get in a jab at him.
