Here we go again. Democrats all but had this Presidential election wrapped up, no matter WHICH candidate of ours won the nod, until this novice of a candidate had to go and stick his foot in his mouth with his elitist bullshit, alienating Rural America like we've never alienatied them before. John McCain and all his fellow Repukes send you their deepest gratitude for all but insuring them of an easy victory next Fall. Just fucking great.

Way to go, Barack!!

50. Contrary to popular belief....
...this is just nonsense.

People have different issues on why they vote the way they do.

Most people vote with their wallet.

Working class people, such as the ones in Pennsylvania, flock to the Democratic Party because they see it as the ones who are looking out for them economically. These are the same people who go hunting on Saturday and yes, go to church on Sunday.

Putting Democrats in a class by saying hunters and church-goers don't vote for Democrats is just shooting our own party in the foot (no pun intended).

68. I think the people of whom you speak are not the people of whom
I speak. There are people who vote against their economic interests - I don't have stats, but I don't think you do either. I think "flock" is a bit of a stretch. I live in Texas and the flocks here follow their preachers to the polls - and they don't vote Democratic. The mix is probably more favorable in PA, but still there are people who just won't vote for a Democrat, and the two most prevalent reasons are guns and abortion.

63. ummm, lets get some facts straight
Edited on Tue Apr-15-08 07:30 AM by Texas Hill Country
Bill -

1. Adopted son of a car salesman
2. Worked his way thru college
3. The poorest president to ever move into the white house - worth less than $700,000.
4. Bill, on average, gives 300 speeches a year and only charges for about 1/3 of them.

Hillary -

1. Daughter of a working class family
2. worked her way thru college
3. poorest first lady to move into the white house

Bill and Hillary

1. Their net worth is not $109 million. They made that over the course of 8 years.
2. They also paid more in taxes than peers.
3. Their net worth is about $30-40 million

Lets compare that to some of their peers - to me, it looks like he is on the low end of the totem pole.

1. John McCain - net worth of about $40-45 million
2. Mitt Romney - net worth of about $450 million
3. John Kerry - net worth of about $200 million
4. John Edwards - net worth of $40-60 million
5. John Rockefeller - about $81 million
6. Ted Kennedy - Estimates range from $45 to $165 million
7. Dubya - $20-25 million
8. George Sr. - $180-250 million (he actually says that he has lost track!!!!!)
9. Al Gore - estimated at greater than $100 million (looks like Bill is slippin if his VP is kickin his ass)

that the criminal is still occupying our precious White House and a contractor has been hired to oppress us in the streets of our own country. I'm bitter and pissed that the lying prick read a children's book while 3,000 Americans were incinerated. I'm bitter and pissed that the United States Supreme Cowards installed this traitor in the first place and the cowards in Congress don't have the patriotic testicles to impeach the bastard. I'm bitter and pissed and could make a list that was several miles long.
The high school bull shit that the Democratic candidates are flinging at each other pales in comparison to the horrors this nation is about to face if another fascist Re-Pubic-Rat is elected. :dem:
