"One Woman Army" for children's health care......
A March 18 article from Factcheck.org gives credit where credit's due to Hillary for expanding children's health care.

"Despite disparagement from political rivals, we find she deserves ample credit for expanding children's health insurance."

snip

"Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Oct. 6, 2007: The children's health program wouldn't be in existence today if we didn't have Hillary pushing for it from the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue."

snip

"Years later, when Clinton was first running for the Senate, Kennedy's aide Littlefield was still giving her credit. The New York Times quoted him as saying, ''She was a one-woman army inside the White House to get this done.''

snip

"Moreover, Hillary Clinton took a major role in translating the new law into action. The program leaves to the states the job of setting up coverage and getting children enrolled, a task that continues to be a struggle to this day. In February 1999, after 47 states had set up SCHIP programs, the Clintons launched a drive to "Insure Kids Now."'

snip

Way to go! Give 'em Health, Hillary! :yourock:

1. She's not giving anyone anything -- she's making damned certain we'll get NO health coverage
Anything else she says is bullshit.

All she's doing now is helping McCain to win. And I mean she's doing it consciously.

This woman used to be one of my heroes -- I now think she's the worst kind of politician.

8. You need to stop believing
the Obama campaign. They will trash anyone to win. Such a divisive figure. Look what he's done to you. He's not the second coming. Did you know?

14. LMAO! My candidate was EDWARDS! What I'm believing is a thing called "REALITY"!
You people are being jerked around by the GOP with your female Jesus crap. Hillary is serving her corporate
masters. It is YOU people who need to stop believing what cannot happen -- it is IMPOSSIBLE mathematically
for Hillary to win.

Now, if you want to destroy the party and that's your real goal -- hey, keep it up!

19. ohmygod! I cannot believe a progressive board has these lies and distortions
The only democrat attempting to make sure health care will not be changed is Obama using the right-wing flyers scaring people into thinking they will go to jail if they cannot afford health care. His lies about the healthcare plan are the same lies that kept the powerful insurance companies raking in the money while the sick died.

3. Kennedy's baby
I'm willing to give Hill some credit for it, I'm sure you'll admit that Kennedy deserves the lions share.

7. Certainly Kennedy deserves a great deal of the credit........
but having someone in the White House pulling for it was a great help by his own admission and that of his aides.

11. I agree he does...
She helped pressure Bill Clinton into signing it, that's great.
Curiously though fact check does not go far enough, since her ad credits her with 6,000,000 children.

I don't pretend to know. Any way to find out?

I question this because fact check only goes so far as 1,000,000.

At any rate, she does deserve some credit, truly.

4. And that's an excellent argument for why she should remain in the U.S. Senate.
She is a good hardworking Senator and very effective in the role.

Having watched her campaign for the last year, however, I cannot imagine how this woman would function as president. Her campaign has been arrogant and in many ways, incompetent. There is one thing that they have done well and that is hurl invective at Barack Obama and anyone else who might prove a hurdle to her getting the nomination.

Stay in the Senate, Hillary, we need you there.

5. HRC's repeated demonstrations of "Self-Righteous Arrogance" are highly disturbing.

NO, I don't want HRC back in OUR Executive Branch.

No Hillary, it's about OUR COUNTRY, NOT ALL ABOUT YOU. :nuke:

10. This is the number one reason that I came on board
as a Hillary supporter.

As a nurse, I have followed her career in this matter for many years.
