The fact that McCain surrogate Hillary Clinton is a "nominee" gives credibility she doesn't deserve. |

She lost long ago and is only hanging around to damage Obama. If she were no longer a "candidate" her senseless tirades would get the minimal attention they deserve.
The Democratic leadership has been much too weak-willed and spineless (it's a theme for them) in taking a hard line against this destructive influence. The party should force her out of the race. She can campaign for McCain on her own time, but she shouldn't be allowed to do it under the guise of the Democratic party.
If Huckabee had stayed in the race for no reason other than slamming McCain with Democratic talking points, do you really think the Republicans would have put up with it? Of course not.

1. Huckabee did stay in the race until McCain had the amount of delegates |
|
he needed to win. I guess you forgot that fact? Obama hasn't gotten to the needed delegates yet. Hillary has every right to continue unless of course you want to stop the voting like the republicans did in 2000.

3. Hillary doesn't have a shot. I'd agree with you that she still has every right to stay in |

if she had a reason to stay in other than slamming the nominee. It's obvious that all she's doing at this point is campaigning for McCain. When's the last time she criticized McCain? When's the last time McCain criticized Hillary?
Considering the media's infatuation with McCain, the Democratic nominee would have had his/her work cut out no matter who the nominee was. We don't need a DEMOCRATIC "candidate" doing the GOP's work for them.
Like I said before, she's free to campaign for McCain on her own time. The Democratic party should not subsidize it and give her a forum for it.
