Dear Fellow Barack Obama Supporters,

My name is TaLisa Sheppard and I am a member of Ohio Women for Obama and a volunteer organizer in Columbus, Ohio. Our group is calling for people across the nation to help deliver Pennsylvania for Obama by contributing to our Post Card Campaign. We want women in PA to know that they do not have to buy into the hype to vote for Hilary simply because she is a woman. We want women in Pennsylvania to know that in-spite of the political pundits view; there are thousands of women across this nation who are supporting Obama.

Our Post Card Campaign is simple and will add a personal touch to Obama's message - this is a grassroots, voter to voter effort. However, we welcome the support of men and their post cards will be used as well. We want voters to know there are other women across this nation who believe in Obama's message of unity and hope and that it is okay for women to vote for him!

Please let me know if this sounds like something you would be willing to do. Below highlights the scope of this campaign and what you can do to get started.



1. Organize a Post Card Party in your community or you can write a few by yourself. We ask that you have volunteers purchase postcards and post card stamps.
2. Write a sentence telling women why you support Obama and another sentence asking for their support. (Sample Below)
3. Bundle all of the post cards from your community and mail them to: TaLisa Sheppard c/o Women for Obama, 146 N. Hamilton Road, #168, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. We will send the postcards to the women in PA.

The goal of this post card campaign is for this effort to coincide with other campaign efforts such as phone banking and neighborhood canvassing. As women, we know how to do it all and we do not feel that one effort supersedes another but rather, they are all working together to reach a common goal: to get Barack Obama elected as our next President!

We also recognize that many women and men across the country have not participated in the campaign due to physical, financial or time constraints and this has given many people an 'at home opportunity' to be involved and effective. We have received an amazing response indicating this is the case.

So in short, women across the country are phone banking, canvassing, registering voters, fundraising, making donations, and now writing post cards. Can we do all of this effectively? Yes We Can.
