Poll question: Can George Stephanopoulos Be A Fair Moderator of A Debate Between Clinton & Obama?
Does anyone actually believe that the former paid-for-hire political trickster and employee of Bill and Hillary Clinton can be an objective moderator of a presidential debate between Senator Obama and Senator Clinton?

This is the same George Stephanopoulos who lent his helping hand (for employment) to the Clintons from washing their dishes on the road to lying for them as their spokesperson, much of which he has admitted.

I have already phoned ABC News with my displeasure and sent them an e-mail as well.

We now have learned that Stephanopoulos is taking his cues from Fox's Sean Hannity on questions to pose to Senator Obama. How does that sit with you today?

Can George Stephanopoulos Be A Fair Moderator of A Debate Between Clinton & Obama?

As I recall, Stephanopoulos felt betrayed by the Lewinsky thing and the Clintons felt betrayed by his reaction and subsequent book.

How about Hillary's hair lately? Do you think it's a good bob for her? I figured no one could give a better opinion on it than you, dsc. What do you think? Is the color a good one for her? I think it is, but then I don't have your talents in these things.

33. No joking here. Serious question to someone I considered an expert.
In fact, dsc, this was at the Huffington Post recently: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/suzanne-omalley/hillarys-hair-ready-on-_b_86695.html

Also: Here are the words of your Hillary:

"And, I have to say that in all the years since I've been at Yale, the most important thing that I have to say today-is that hair matters.

This is a life lesson my family did not teach me, Wellesley and Yale failed to instill on me: the importance of your hair.

Your hair will send very important messages to those around you. It will tell people who you are and what you stand for. What hopes and dreams you have for the world…and especially what hopes and dreams you have for your hair.

Likewise, your shoes. But really, more your hair. So, to sum up. Pay attention to your hair. Because everyone else will."

--- Hillary Rodham Clinton, 2001

I'd like to write them, too, but not because of the George-Clinton connection, but because of George going onto Hannity to get potential questions. Can ANYONE imagine the uproar if George had gone on AAR and gotten tips about what to ask republicons? The RW nutjobs would be whirling dervishes in their pajamas, screaming about bias bias bias.

19. Given how he has behaved these last few months as This Week moderator, the answer is clearly NO
In addition, the disgraceful prestation interviewing Stephen Hadley last Sunday, where he let Hadley talk about Nepal rather than Tibet 6 times in a row without correcting him, should disqualify him on grounds of competency.

I don't have a clue as to what you are referencing. It sounds a bit anti-semitic to me, but I hope not. In any event, you use the word "we" and I don't want anyone to think that "we" included me.

I've never seen anything that suggests that Disney or ABC favors the Likkud party in Israel. Do you really believe this to be so? Or were you making a joke maybe?

I'll dig up the link if you are interested. It's a great read, really.

and there are a few other things...LOL!

I don't have any qualms about Aipac whatsover because they don't do anything that the Saudis already do, the British do, the French do, and China does which is to work on behalf of their interests.

I'm sure you'd agree that just singling out Aipac while giving the rest a pass is scapegoating. Israel is a very, very small country and the British, China and even Mexico have more influence on our national politics than Israel does.

And here in the U.S. our fellow Jewish American brothers and sisters only make up 3% of our entire population. That said, considering what amazing contributions that tiny 3% has made to our fair country in every field from the sciences to the arts, I think we should almost revere them. I must confess that I do.

I can't help it, but I have great admiration and, yes great love for the Jewish community. Am I biased in favor toward Jews here and around the world? Probably so and I'd be the first to admit it.

31. NAFTA, CAFTA, Penn, Bosnia....if they dont bring up any of those in meaningful ways....
not some lame question like: "So...you were misunderstood about the bosnia thing right?" "Yes that's right!".."ok next question"..

If they aren't full-blown questions like Russert did in the last debate in OH then this is BS...

THe only plus will be that Obama will be getting ask the toughest questions which is very good because it will give him a chance to explain himself and connect better with the PA people.

He has already labeled Obama as being in "big trouble" for Bittergate. I saw his comments on ABC Nightly News a day or two ago. He's not objective.

Charles Gibson on the other hand is a fair host.
