Just a reminder: Hillary's chances of pulling off this nomination are still SLIM TO NONE.
http://www.jedreport.com/2008/04/cq-delivers-det.html

---
"Clinton's best case scenario is to end the campaign trailing by 100 to 150 delegates. At that point, she'd need about two-thirds of the uncommitted superdelegates to sign up for a coup. And there just isn't any evidence that will happen. Indeed, superdelegates are moving the opposite direction, either endorsing Barack Obama, or embracing the Pelosi standard: pledged delegates will determine the nominee."
---

So relax people. As the media tried their hardest to hype up the none-issue and faux outrage surrounding 'bittergate', the media is still playing a hand in prolonging this process when the numbers are clear Obama WILL BE THE NOMINEE short of a highly unlikely cataclysmic disaster in his campaign.

4. Oh No! say it ain't so. What will all the lunatics do now?
...with their hatred and divisiveness?
Will they declare victory and move on? Or will they sulk and whine like sore winners and continue to trash good democrats?

7. Um, you seem confused. It's the sore losers' whine you're hearing.
Obama has defeated Hillary fair and square, and you and the rest of the loons aren't having it. Let go. It's over. Stick a fork in it. Your collective resistance to reality punctuated with bitterness is the very essence of being a sore loser. Rage on. We'll wait til you do the math and then the party can turn to defeating McCain. We're waiting ... * foot tapping *

Meanwhile - why are you not out celebrating this victory?

12. Because Hillary will throw a fit and accuse us of being
undemocratic. We're all just waiting for her to do the honorable thing and admit defeat.

18. We've counted: Obama has an insurmountable delegate lead.
Now you can rework those figures til the cows come home and it won't matter one iota. And we are celebrating and anxious to get on with the awesome responsibility of kicking the stuffing out of John McCain. We're waiting for Hillary (and you) to do the math, accept reality, and muster the grace to drop out so we can get on with the general election. BTW, in case you can't discern right from wrong, it is not cool to hold up that endeavor.

22. Not quite yet. And we learned in 2000
...that it is important to count the actual votes.

And then on to a democratic victory in November.

23. Riiiight! Keep telling yourself that, but it's the delegate count that decides the nomination.
That's a fact. Do recall how Bush v. Gore was decided? Delegate count because that is the legal determining factor. Now, you can keep hedging your bets dreaming up all kinds of new ways to count this thing, new ways to frame and reframe a proposed path to victory, but it is the delegate count that determines the outcome.

Again and this time listen up because this is truly tiresome, Obama's delegate count is insurmountable. That is a mathematical fact that you can't spin or repackage or run over with your car. It is what it is whether you like it or not.

We're waiting ...

25. Electoral votes are different from delegate votes
I think the party might have a hard time going against a popular vote.
Not likely to happen though so we probably won't see how it would resolve that dilemma.

(Just recently Obama stepped in the mire because he spoke in a way some people found patronizing.)

26. The primary is not decided on "electoral votes" nor on "popular vote."
You can continue to try to ferret out alternatives metrics in this nomination battle til the cows come home, but the race is decided on delegate count (super + pledged). Period. Do you recall Bush v. Gore? Decided on delegate count because that's the legal method of determining the victor. 'Kay?

14. The least sinister path by which Hillary becomes the nominee
is if a cabal of insiders overturn the popular choice of the party. The People are shafted, the Democratic Party shatters forever, but Hillary gets to lose against McCain in November, so the end justifies the means.

Mind you, that is the LEAST sinister path by which Hillary could possibly take the nomination. It gets worse from there... And we are supposed to RESPECT the people who are for some fucked reason holding out for sick fantasies like this ????
