A question for the DU Admins..
Once this marathon is finally over and we have a candidate, when will the "no bashing the candidate" rule kick in? Will the losers get leeway to continue to trash...or will we have to endure it until the convention is over.. (one never knows what is under consideration by certain people)..

I know you are probably worn to a nub from all the angry emails, but inquiring minds want to know if there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and how much time will elapse before the Headstone Solitaire game starts..

It gets really tedious to be called racist and sexist every day :)

Is there a time frame in mind? a week?..a day?

4. No.
In a two party system, a vote for a third party is mathematically eliminated. If you want to change the system, fight at a grassroots level to change the system. But don't pretend that we actually have a multi-party system, as if a vote for a 3rd party candidate actually has practical effect.

6. I would actually like a parliamentary system
That way we could elect the party..and through true representation of ALL of us, a leader would emerge.,.and could be tossed out if we ended up with another GWB..

8. Yeah, a system that allowed votes for third party candidates to count would be good.
But unless and until we have that, we can't keep pretending that they count now in our two-party system.

9. 7 days
It's just a matter of when it's decided that we have a presumptive nominee.

On a side note, I just learned some sad news of a former DUer. :(

11. Skinner had a thread about it
Once the nominee is chosen, or presumed, everyone will be given a grace period of 7 days to get it out of your system. If I remember correctly, that's not carte blanche to break rules, but you have 7 days to continue attacking the nominee. After that you're outta here.
