Yeah, it's true. He told Tim Russert that he said things during the 2004 genereal, like he didn't know how he would have voted on the IWR or that there was room for disagreement on the IWR, by saying it wasn't a good time, poitically, to speak out against the war.

This is the same guy that uses that vote, and his "deply held convictions" that it was a bad war "from the begining" as some club with which to attack Hillary. But he did, by his own admission, water down, at best, those "deeply held convictions" for one reason, one reason: political expediency.

Yeah, it is transparent, but not in the way you evidenly believe.

This could be a good starting point for real dialog on a person-to-person basis, with no "posturing".

For example, I think it was Papau that said "fraud". At first it made me angry, but the truth is, if I was speaking to Papau in person, that is the first thing I would try to talk to him about. I would ask "Why?". Then I would put on my big listening ears -and as long as this person didn't get too violent, I would try not to interrupt or disagree outloud.

If the dialog was still going on, I would try to, one-by-one', deal with the points he raised, with honesty and without contradicting diametrically what Papau said.
