McCain to troops.. FUCK YOU!
But don't let that get in the way of "bitter-gate" or some stupid 30 year old video of Hillary talking about baking cookies.

McCain, Military Oppose Expanding GI Bill
Presidential Hopeful Believes Legislation Would Hurt Military
By Z. Byron Wolf
April 14, 2008

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, seemed to give a thumbs down to bipartisan legislation that would greatly expand educational benefits for members of the military returning from Iraq and Afghanistan under the GI Bill.

1. He is such a fake!
He wants to run on his Military experience, war hero status, but yet hasn't taken the time to read the damn bill.

McCain you are such a hypocritical phony!

3. Big Ed Schultz has been banging away at this.
There are some 10+ occasions when McCain voted AGAINST GI benefits. It's an excellent point that I have no doubt will come up in the GE.

4. He never had to worry about benefits. They were always there.
Good that he's being honest.

Anybody see a total of the soldiers vote in Iraq in 2004? I didn't and I looked.

5. The GI Bill in the Vietnam era allowed my husband to go back to law school
after Vietnam and allowed us to have a baby and a future. How can anyone oppose this in good conscience? These kids lose years of their lives serving their country and deserve a little help getting back in the game...of course, that's if you don't accept the concept of a permanent military underclass.

6. His reason is hilarious...
He's worried if we give the troops too much incentive to leave the military.. they will.

12. That is wonderful
The GI bill is putting me and my husband through college. I just don't understand how a veteran such as McCain could vote against the GI bill.

It could be the crowning achievement in one of the worst political careers in the history of Congress.

And let's face it, that is an incredible number of rotten careers.

10. Would love to see question McCain's position on troops benefits, what they
were promised and what they get. But, there's plenty of time for her to really make a splash before November...
