But you are right - the gushing is amusing. I remeber being amazed at how the r/w gushed over Laura Bush in much the same way.

It allowed them to trash Teresa Kerry without even mentioning her name.

I think she seems like a fine person. but these people better keep up the gushing because this is going to be a scalding election season and the real ugliness has yet to begin.

And there is nothing demeaning or sophomoric in commenting on someone's appearance when they're in the pubic eye.

we have made it our burden to post pictures and comments on laura bush`s choices of drapery,sofa,and other incredibly awful fabrics and designs of her clothes. i won`t bore you with other gory details but it is safe to say the michelle will bring a much needed breath of fresh air into the whitehouse...
