Breaking: Clinton's "outraged PA voter" ad actually has an outraged voter from NJ!!!
She can't even put up an ad without lying... What a stupid mistake for her campaign to make. How can she run the country when her campaign can't even grab 4 actual PA supporters to do a commercial?

At least one of her supporters featured in the spot hammering Obama for his small town comments isn’t registered to vote in Pennsylvania.
Clyde Thomas, who sports a goatee in the ad and says, “the good people of Pennsylvania deserve a lot better than what Barack Obama said,” is actually registered in New Jersey. He voted there for Clinton Feb. 5. He only recently moved to Bethlehem, Pa.

Thomas said he was born in Scranton, but has lived his entire life in Somerville, N.J. He is a 46-year-old unemployed environmental engineer.

He said he has been volunteering for the campaign in recent weeks, handing out literature and making phone calls. He said the campaign approached him about appearing in the ad, which was filmed in Bethlehem, a city of about 72,000 residents in eastern Pennsylvania where Bethlehem Steel once stood tall.

Asked about the fact that Thomas isn’t registered in Pennsylvania, Clinton campaign spokesman Mark Nevins said: “Clyde has deep roots in Pennsylvania and is moving back to the state after having voted in New Jersey in their primary for Hillary Clinton.”

I love the spin... "he has lived in New Jersey his whole life... but he is moving back to his roots... so it's ok... because he has become a Pennsylvanian for like 3 weeks.

There's over 12 million people in PA!

WHY do they keep making BONEHEADED mistakes? Not that I'm complaining. We barely have to do anything and she shoots herself in the foot!

76. And we see today's torpedoing of her own campaign by Hillary Clinton....
...She cannot continue in this race. Her campaign is as organized as ferrets in a cardboard box. This is NOT leadership.

Worse, people are starting to laugh at her now and, by extension, laugh at the Democratic Party and its voters. THis is NOT good for the GE. She needs to leave now.

Somerville is not a "stone's throw" from PA. It is an hour away in average traffic.

By your definition over half of NJ is a "stone's throw away from PA". I guess the other half is a stone's throw away from NY - though part of the state is a stone's throw away from both.

89. But he doesn't live in PA, and can't vote in PA....
....They ran a negative ad, and it is very bad to have something wrong in This is another example of Hillary Clinton's inability to run her campaign. Worse, this is at least the fourth example of this problem, and it is apparent that the campaign staff she put together can't even learn from their mistakes.

This is NOT evidence of good leadership skills. Can you imagine what Hillary and her bunch of loons would do if she was president? They'd make Bush Jr look competent.

45. As someone who as been involved with local and state campaigns...
... I can tell you that it's not a dumb criticism. Regardless of which state you are talking about, people don't like outsiders coming into their state and trying to influence the vote. People tend to take exception to that. If you say that someone is "one of you" they sure as hell better be.

I live in Burlington VT. Just across the lake from NY State and I'd be PISSED if someone tried to pass off a New Yorker as a Vermonter just to make a commercial. There are plenty of other PA voters... find one of them to insert into the commercial.

I'm serious here. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is a Florida Rep who is a huge Clinton supporter. That lady looks and sounds a lot like her. I wonder if it's her sister or cousin or something. Let me know if you think this is crazy. But I've been wondering about this for a couple of days. The lady is about 10 seconds into the ad You can see her here:

And compare it to Wasserman-Schultz here:

87. But he doesn't LIVE in PA. He can't VOTE in PA. This is another example...
...of Clinton's inability to run her campaign. This is at least the fourth instance of her staff not vetting these things thoroughly before using them in an ad against Obama.

You would think that, after the problems they've had with this, they would be uber-careful now. Apparently not. They don't seem to be learning from their mistakes, and this has me VERY concerned about Hillary being anywhere near the Oval Office.

When you go negative in an ad, EVERYTHING in that ad has to be perfect. Otherwise, you risk having more harm done to your own campaign than to your target.

Either they couldn't find a third happy-as-a-lark PA voter, or they didn't vet this one thoroughly. Either way, it is NOT a good reflection on Hillary, her campaign, and her ability to hold a leadership position.

The fact that the "man on the street" (women on the street) reactions were actually just campaign workers who are already dedicated to Hillary give the whole thing a rotten and deceptive tinge to it.

While one would not expect a campaign ad to include negative comments about the sponsoring candidate, at least they could have selected honest reactions from peopel not already involved in her campaign.

55. This is not her lie.
This is her staff's. Oh, I know the responsibility is hers, but come on--we don't expect a candidate to vet personally everyone who appears in a commercial.

79. this isn't a lie... it's incomitence...
after the 3A.M. ad girl... they should have known better. They should have known to check the background of their "outraged Pennsylvanians" in their attack ad.

88. Its less a lie and more general dishonesty
They whipped up an attack ad with people that where to appear to be PA folks. It then turns out that one of these people works for her and may not even live in PA. Its not a "conspiracy" as it inst far reaching, it isnt a lie because its implied, it is instead an attempt to mislead through perception.

General dishonesty would be the term i would use. Accident would not be.

93. It is Hillary's fault. She is the leader of the Campaign that Can't Shoot Straight....
...Honest to gawd, this is like a bad Don Knotts movie.

This is at least the fourth occasion where information and people were not vetted, and her campaign STILL hasn't learned from it's past 3 mistakes?!?

This time it's especailly bad because it was in an attack ad. You DON'T make mistakes in attack ads because there is a good likelihood that you will suffer more than your target.

This reflects badly on her skills as a leader, especially her choice of key staff, and her ability to ensure quality control throughout the organization by maintaining waulity management at the higher levels.

This is how bad they are: they are looking Bush Jr's staff look COMPETENT.

What do you think the point of the "I approved this message" at the beginning or end of all campaign commercials? It eliminates plausible deniability.

58. This would be a small matter if it were not for the MESSAGE of this ad
I am in NJ and though an hour is not admittedly a very large distance, it is enough to rubbish the claims of DEEP roots. But more importantly the ad was supposed to portray RURAL UNBIASED PENNSYLVANIANS who were outraged. Thats where the ad falls flat when you use a person who has moved in recently from another state and is a CAMPAIGN worker to boot.

BAH!! WHEN WILL THIS STOP!!!
