Poll question: Question for Hillary supporters: Why do YOU think Hillary hasn't won the nomiation by now?
I think it's safe to say that most liberals and progressives thought Hillary was going to be a shoe in for the Dem prez nominees so I wanted to know what your perspective is and where you place a good portion of the reason why she hasn't won the nomination at this point.

Please, keep it to Hillary supporters as much as possible.

I want to know also because I think there's going to have to be a good amount of healing to beat Weather Vane McSame and it'd by nice to know where to focus the efforts towards bringing things together no matter who wins.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

5. if her first campaign manager was doing her job right, Obama would never have had a chance IMO
regardless of the quality of candidate you judge him to be.

3. I think it has a lot to do with media bias.
When you harp on a candidate day after day after day it sinks in. Our media took us to war in Iraq and they decided who the Democratic candidate would be.

4. I don't know ANYONE (personally at least) who thought she was a shoe in
This is a very slanted poll, BTW.

9. Obama-mania
IMO, in any other regular election, she would've been a shoe-in. The Obama phenomenon is something no one really predicted.

11. I'm leaning towards her running a bad campaign because they SAW the money he was rasing before the..
...primaries and SAW that he was pulling tons of cash just by showing up.

12. Well among other things, it's a movement ripe for a let down
But by any conventional logic, Gore was a shoe-in too.

17. We all think (know) Gore won the election.
Obama makes the statement now, when it's virtually as uncontroversial as could be and at the end of one of the most failed presidencies in history. However, it shouldn't even have been close. Gore should have rolled over Bush. Bill Clinton probably would have.

14. If she would've ran a better campaign. There would be no Obama talk right now.
We would all be on the destroy McCain train right now.

19. IMO no

They underestimated just how desperate Americans are for a change. After 8 years of Bush, most people are ready for a revolution, and the "Clinton" name is just echoes of the past. I agree that her campaign has made mistakes, but it seems like the fundamental dynamics of this election made it ripe for an unknown "underdog" to win the nomination - kinda like Carter did after the Nixon years. I think Clinton would've won easily in 2004, & sort of wish she had run then.

16. All three: bad campaign management, media bias, Obama being good candidate.
As we see over and over again, a lot of our candidates are allowed to get "beat" because the Dems have crappy campaign advisers (Begala, Carville and George Steph. were the best we've had - much as a lot of us can't stand them) AND the media is always pounding on them and building up the Reps.

The exception had been Obama - but now it looks like the media is making up for lost time with him now. They sort of go between adulation and then full attack mode with him. Meanwhile, McCain continues his honeymoon with them. They have always loved McCain and that will continue on - I'm afraid.

The media has a LOT to do with who wins and loses. BUT you have to have people who are good at dealing with the media.

18. True and I don't think Obama deals with the media as well as McSame. He deals with PEOPLE a whole...
...lot better than he deals with McSame though so I pray that'll make things up
