Jamesons, maybe. Or, like, good whiskey. I just never considered CR to be more than a good mixer. It would be like sipping on Absolut when you have a bottle of Grey Goose nearby, kwim?

I know this is waaaay off topic, but it's been a long day, and I need a drink. lol

Or even using it in a mixed drink. But you just don't chug a fine liquor.

21. We can't give the stuff away
I belong to a social club and in our liquor inventory closet we have 1 bottle of Crown Royal. We don't have it out at the bar and no one knows how long it's been there because no one can remember anyone who ever drank it. So, as a lark the other night I had the bartender remove it from the closet and take it to the bar, offering it for 50 cents per shot just to get rid of the stuff. So far in 3 nights no one has asked for it.

The only thing I ever have had with Crown in it is a Washington Apple shot or a couple of other mixed shots... somewhere where you don't actually taste the whiskey. lol

That's pretty sad though that you couldn't get rid of it at 50 cents per shot. Although, I have to say I'd have to be pretty desperate to get drunk to drink that shit straight.

41. My Dad was a steelworker. He would have a shot and beer
every day just as soon as he came home from work. He downed the shot (Seagrams usually) and then drank the beer. It was his ritual.

Once, when I was young, I asked him why he did that. He said it was to clear the crap (his words) out of his system from working in the mill all day.

Everyday that he worked, the car would have about 1/8" of iron ore dust on it when he pulled into our driveway and we lived about 10 miles away in the suburbs.

67. Crown Royal is good stuff. Like anything, they have a variety of different quality/priced products.
It's not Macallan but it's pretty fucking good. You can pay anwhere from $ 20-150 for a 750 ml bottle depending on the quality. I like the stuff.
