Poll question: RKBA recently resurfaced as a divisive, polarization issue for BO & HC. Both have a history of |

anti-gun statements and close association with gun-grabber groups. Many voters perceive them as someone who wants to ban handguns, semiautomatic firearms or all guns.
The electorate is about 200 million of which 122 million voted in 2004.
80 million people own handguns including 35 million handgun owners.
Either BO or HC will be the Democratic candidate and both are trying to change their image from anti-gun to pro-gun so as not to alienate the 80 million gun owners who are potential voters.
Would you vote for whoever becomes the Dem candidate if she/he promises:
"I will veto every bill that comes to me as president that infringes on the natural, inherent, inalienable right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms for self-defense."

4. You want your cancer treatment? First, leave my guns alone |

That's the deal. You don't have to like it or think it's fair, but that's where America is right now. Practice your horse-tradin' skills...

When the Democratic Party "elite" realizes that the vast majority of people would choose health care over guns every single day of the week, then we'll get somewhere. And if your gun is truly more important to you than cancer treatment, then you're an idiot. I am so fucking sick of idiots.

I want every American who is suffering from cancer to benefit from the best treatments that our scientists and researchers can offer. That means funding for stem-cell research, basic scientific research, and curbs on the pharmaceutical industry to keep them from skewing the results and putting sick Americans at even greater risk.
Now, what are the chances that you're going to get any of this from the Repukes? Zero. Nada. Zilch. Bugger all.
But if the leading Democratic candidate is perceived to be weak on Second Amendment issues, guess what happens? Gun owners will tend to default Republican no matter how many cancer treatments fall by the wayside.
I am a Democratic precinct chair and former state delegate, and yes, what I just told you is tragic and beyond unfortunate. But that's where we stand at this moment, so we, as Democrats, had better wise up collectively and tell both Clinton and Obama that the same ol' pandering to the Brady Campaign and AHSA and VPC is only going to give us McCain in 2009, a nuclear war with Iran, and no cancer treatments for anybody.

and look every gun owner in the eye and tell them they're a moron for putting their gun before their child's or their wife's health. Stop perpetuating their horse shit.

8. Just because they're morons... |

...doesn't mean they can't vote. Some people actually voted for that sick fuck who's currently in the White House, and that never ceases to confound me.
FYI, my wife's a cancer survivor. No doubt, I want her to have the very best health care possible. And I want my Constitutional rights respected, from habeas corpus to freedom from cruel and unusual punishment to the right to keep and bear arms. I want it all.
I feel that old Queen song welling up...

Why worry about them?
What if the gun debate only exists between those sick fucks and Democrats who think they matter? See what I mean? Nobody is going to take away all the guns so why even feed into it.
And I'm sorry about your wife. My sister is a cancer survivor too and was fortunate enough to have excellent insurance and got the best health care too.

Make no mistake. I want the Democrats to paste the Repukes so bad I can taste it. I hope that what we started in 2006 won't end in 2006.

Gun control laws should be state to state. The SCOTUS case will bear that out.
