Poll question: Do YOU wear a flag lapel pin?
I'm so sick of this fake issue being brought up about Obama when Hillary doesn't wear a flag pin.

7. They keep saying this is what the Reps will bring up.
Well so what! Most Americans can see right through this stupid issue to the distraction it is.

4. if you don't wear one the flag doesn't exist, just like the 10 commandments, if they
aren't prominently displayed on state owned property they are void.

8. Only every minute of every fucking day!
Even when I'm naked and showering, I jam it directly into my pectoral muscle. Can never be too sure when the flag pin police are going to come around for inspections.

Does this not remind anyone of the Nazis? German men were supposed to wear the swastika and if they didn't their loyalty was immediately questioned. It is UN FUCKING REAL the questions that were asked.

The f*ing Reps wrap themselves in the flag when it suits them to do so and then proceed to stomp on it every chance they get. :grr:

Edited on Wed Apr-16-08 09:56 PM by cat_girl25
I want to ask her so bad does wearing that pen make her more patriotic than the rest of us. But I don't know her well enough to ask that.

13. Actually, yes
I often wear a lapel pin that has the crossed flags of the US and NH. Does that make me more patriotic? Of course not. I wear it because I see it as a way to express support for the country I love. Nobody makes me wear it, and I don't have a problem with anyone who chooses not to wear one.

And I usually wear an Obama button right below it. Today I went with a rare "Hope" logo button.

Not even after 9-11 did I wear a flag pin or put one on my car antenna. I love my country and a little pin is not needed to convince me.

It is what I think when I see one..."that person is a republican". I wouldn't fly an american flag on my house....unless a democrat is in the white house....nor would I consider wearing a flag pin now.

24. Did Bill Clinton wear a flag pin
in the 90's? I have two pictures of Presidents on my wall, one is FDR, the other is JFK...niether of them are wearing flag pins, does that mean they were unpatriotic? times I saw my father wear a flag, was a photo of him at the age of 17 in his army uniform before being sent to Korea. the last time he wore a flag, when it was draped over his coffin. Does that mean he was unpatriotic?

This issue, if you can call it that, is totally made up, from the trauma of 911. that is when it became a major issue. Somehow anyone not wearing a flag pin, they are unpatriotic and support terrorists? Jesus Christ, what has happened to our country?

30. Maybe I'm wrong
I haven't made a point of looking for one, but do ANY of the three major candidates wear one consistantly. I haven't noticed. Why did this become an Obama issue? Did he raise the issue, or was he asked by a mediacritter, "Why don't you...."?

38. You need a few more options, but you're not interested in anything meaningful
3) If I were running for POTUS, I'd damn sure be smart enough to wear one at least now and then.
4) I own one and I sometimes wear it on special days or occasions.
5) Everything Barack Obama does is perfect, and everything he doesn't do is perfect too.
