Series of commercials for MoveOn to consider
I can't wait to see F911 this weekend. Especially the part where Bush sits frozen in the classroom for 7 solid minutes after learning about the second plane hitting the WTC. We've all heard about it, but imagine how we are going to feel when we really see it, in real time, slow action.

Just like the Abu Ghraib scandal, sometimes it takes a visual image to get people to really feel the outrage.

So here is my idea for a series of commercials to air this fall, in time for the election:

Run 7 one-minutes commercials in sequence during a popular program (the Olympics?), each minute is a minute of that sequence in Moore's film, with some catchy caption. I don't think we could run a 7-minute long commercial, but we could run 7 "different" commercials so that viewers can feel the unease over watching our "fearless" leader in action that day. Each of the first six minutes would end with "to be continued". Even if we can only afford to air the series once, think of the press we would get. That alone might be worth it.

Who wants to help think of what the voiceover should say, or the text to go on the screen?

Anyone from MoveOn reading this, take this idea - you can make it happen, I alone cannot!

1. I like it.
I'd even pay money to see it.

2. that's what I'm hoping! $$$$
I'd love to see MoveOn take this idea and raise enough money to get the series on the air even just once! It would have all of America talking, wouldn't it? I wouldn't even care what they were saying, as long as everyone becomes familiar with the image of our CIC sitting there for 7 whole minutes like the befuddled frat boy that he is while our country was under attack.

Vote in November for Bush because of his stellar job in the war on terror? I don't think so! His immediate response on 9/11 should be seared into everyone's memory. He had no idea what to do or what to think, so he just sat there waiting for the "grown-ups" to instruct him.

4. I like it
And I think they could get a bigger bang for the buck with seven 15 or 20 second commercials, each one a "real time" segment from each of those seven minutes, maybe with a split screen or small screen insert of actual news footage rolling showing what actually was going on while Bush is reading the story. With very little loss of impact, seven spots could be aired for a small fraction of the expense that way
