I am taking a deep breath and moving on. I don't believe anyone really benefited by tonight's tabloid show. They will say Repubs did, but by the time the General rolls around a whole lot of things will change. They may or may not try to revive some of these non-issues, but I am going to bet on the public wanting something new, and that they are tired of "gotcha" when gas is 4 bucks a gallon, they are losing their homes and jobs, etc. I fear the economy, and possibly the world situation will be much worse even in a few months. If the people haven't wised up by then--- we all lose.

2. Which is why the post-debate spin is what matters.... thankfully...
...mostly the spin is about the moderators just about everywhere.

I'm curious to see if Gibson answers the criticisms tomorrow morning....

7. I enjoyed a wonderful Tex-mex combination plate
And tomorrow, I'll wrap up a significant case with significant fees.

Friday, I'll watch the tape of the debate. If the intimations I have read are half true, it'll be a wash. And a wash is an Obama win. As I understand it, lots of gotcha questions, but no gotchas. And, most importantly, Barack stood in her defense on the Bosnia nonsense.

Funny how those actions that smack of leaders signify . . . er . . . leaders.

9. From what I can gather..
Obama won. He was presidential, attacked mccain, and didn't let hilary's standing in for mccain ruffle him. IN fact he got some zingers to her pitiful relentless whinging.

"This was a brilliant moment for Obama to strike back, and he did, slapping Clinton with a zinger: Her husband, as president, had formally pardoned two members of the underground organization, whereas he just happened to know a former member.

The New York senator stood there completely stunned by this swift comeback; she was becoming too accustomed to Senator Obama gentlemanly presidential responses"]/b].

"Barack Obama put it well when he spoke of how the two anchors of this evening's debate (and so much of our elitist media & punditocracy) seem interested mainly in "manufactured issues"-- Jeremiah Wright, dodging bullets in Tuzla, flag lapel pins and Bill Ayers-- a major reason so many decent and generous Americans tune out this media."

And this sounds good.. "Pain trickles up" is how Obama tonight described John McCain's economic policies. That smart riff brought pain to Charles Gibson's face.."

8. One of the posters on Fark was complaining that his local ABC affilate aired
"Wheel of Fortune" instead of the presidential debate.
