Poll question: For Comicstripper: VP poll
Edited on Mon Jun-21-04 04:42 PM by Padraig18
Comicstripper is not a donor, and would like to see a VP poll. Choices are listed alphabetically.

:)

3. If Kerry wants the South then Edwards is the way to go.
Edwards is immensely popular with people here, even my repub/Bushco apologist father in law would vote for him. I am Mississippi and plenty of people REALLY like Edwards. The whole two America's stump he does strikes a chord with lots of people. It gives Kerry a balance to the elitist BS that the press wants to heave on him, and his being from the south does matter to people here.

I wish that people would realize that not all white southerners are bible thumping rednecks, their are plenty of intelligent people here. Being a liberal democrat in MS is the definition of pragmatism. There are plenty of votes to be won in the South for democrats. WE are the most uninsured and poorest people in the whole country, if Kerry could point that out, even repubs would listen.

The press likes Edwards, he is charismatic, he has that great son of a mill work line, he fought against giant corporations on behalf of the little guy, and oh yeah he is totally hot.

5. Tom Vilaseck of Iowa typically is reported in the top 4
of contenders. I wouldn't expect to see a lot of votes for him here,a nd wouldn't have myself, but he is heavily in the running.

6. nationally
Vilsack is barely a blip and pretty much an unknown. Lates polls only shows 4% of Dems want him as VP.

7. Perhaps, though as recently as last weekend
he was mentioned as one of Kerry's top 4 considerations. Again, not my battle, just pointing out he is more highly considered than some of the others.

11. whose votes will he lose?
seems like he's favored by more dems than any other candidate, if anything guys like Vilsack and Clark will upset the base.
